  1. I prefer the Dark Argent wheels. Bigger screen is nice. I notice it comes with an PFV badge on the steering wheel.
  2. I've got the Venom straight swap cat pipe on the F6 and am running 327rwkw with stock dump pipe. Highly recommended.
  3. These days the site is useless from my mobile phone: a) Most of the time I get error 2000 - Why on earth are some Telstra wireless IP address ranges being blocked???? This was reported a long time ago! The range that I am using is within the telstra.iph APN b) If I do manage to get past the above error and successfuly log in with username/password, then when I click "View new content" II will get error 10146 "You do not have permission to search this community". At this point it seems that the site has logged me out, and I need to sign in again. I have never seen these issues from a desktop PC or laptop/dongle on Telstra. Given that fact that users will use smart phones to access the site more and more, this really needs to be addressed.
  4. I'm very happy with the integration of the camera to the factory system and the service from ASL. I asked my wife whether she could spot the camera from the back of the car, and she couldn't - typical. I'll try to get a photo up for you when I'm back in town.

  7. This has always been a mystery topic. Can someone in the know please provide some answers on the pros/cons on our cars of: 1- factory setup 2- no BOV 3- Bigger BOV vented 4- Bigger BOV plumbed back 5- Factory BOV vented
  8. These are great cars. Just make sure the diff & driveline is not too noisy and clunky. Try to get one with a few months warranty left. $42k should see you in a good 2008 one.

    Awesome! Would you consider running rear mufflers only like they do in the 5.0 mustangs? IMO these sound sensational.
  10. Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I forgot to mention, I also have the rapid turbo intake pipe (doesn't seem to make much difference to induction noise). I'm happy with the power, so that's it for the mods other than the 'tidy up' stuff I listed above. I will be fitting a reverse camera next week though. Potentially a bit of extra induction spool noise ld be nice. I guess a growler could do the trick in place of the XR8 intake.. Cheers, Jake.

  13. I have been meaning to get around to writing this up for a while... I dropped in my FG F6 to pitlane a few weeks ago for some work, and came out with 327rwkw, below is a list of mods: 1. PWR Stepped cooler 2. Venom Cat pipe 3. XR8 Intake & lower box 4. Herrod pipe kit 5. XCAL 2 6. Blocked BOV 7. K&N Filter 8. Custom centre exhaust section 9. Tune and work from Pitlane Servicing done at the same time: 1. Throttle body clean 2. Change manual gearbox oil (Transmax Z) 3. Diff oil change (85w-140 Mineral oil) 4. Fuel filter change 5. Turbo oil screen change Big thanks to Mick & Bel for the great work & service again. I have finally got Ford to replace the diff and tailshaft too under warranty (after 4 visits) which was so clunky and noisy and leaky that it was unbearable. The car is now brilliant. Last few things to be tidied up: 1. Fix AM radio reception 2. Fix driver door wind noise 3. Change diff oil again (85w-140), since Ford supplied new diff 4. Get a few small paint scratches sorted. 5. New valve springs (Next time I'm at Pitlane) 6. Mal Wood Opt 3+ (when current clutch goes - holding well so far) 7. Replace clutch fluid 8. Fix slight exhaust knocking around (extra hanger?) Jake.
  14. Hi guys, Quick question: What is the best way to add an aftermaket Reverse camera which is integrated into the Premium ICC which already has a factory integrated SatNav in my FG F6? What place can do this in Melbourne, and what would be the rough price? Cheers, Jake.

  17. Ok an update. The radio reception is cr@p again... I think that the little connector box (which apparently is also an antenna amplifier) might be ro0ted. I can get the reception to become good, just by disconnecting the and reconnecting the wires to this box, but it then goes back to being hopeless a few minutes later. It's as if I'm resetting this amplifier box by disconnecting power, but it goes back to cr@p after a few minutes... I might have to get this box replaced by Ford. Anyone heard of this? Jake.

Hi guys, I have been struggling with terrible radio reception for quite a while now on my FG F6 - Binks Ford could not fix it either.... :f*ckyou: So today, I inspected the rear windscreen (where the glass integrated antenna is), all looked ok. I then took off the passenger side C-Pillar cover, to reveal a connector box which has both the demister and the antenna plugged into it. All plugs were in tightly, however I unplugged them, and plugged them back in just to be sure. What do you know - perfect reception, even on AM which was previously non-existent !!! I'm very happy. Give this a go if you have poor radio reception. Jake.
  19. Turn on aircon to max, close all doors, and then spray a quarter of a can of Glen20 into the air-intake (2 minutes or so) which is underneath dash, between the front passangers legs.. Hop out when you can't stand it any more, close the door and let it run like that for 5 minutes, before switching off. The Glen20 will kill all the bacteria that is causing the smell.
  20. Hi Shanan, I saw your car at Binks last week. I am currently trying to get them to replace my diff and tailshaft under warranty (with much anguish). So far I have been very disappointed with Binks, and their attitude, but we'll see what they say next week (fingers crossed). Jake.
  21. My FG is much more clunky than my previous BA (both 6sp manuals). From this perspective the BA wa smuch more refined. I'll be looking at whether the bushes need replacing.

  23. Hmmm. I just blocked the BOV and it's a fair bit quieter than having a 10mm outlet. I am thinking that I will put it back to venting to atmo. The concern I have however is that when vented the BOV is releasing air when the engine is idle, I wonder if the BOV is faulty? And if this is the case perhaps it could be letting unfiltered air in too?
