  1. Common CPU's: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/common_cpus.html High end CPU's http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html My AMD X2 3800+ scores 816 The Intel Q9450 seems to be the way to go if I was to buy a new PC today. Very good bang for bucks, it scores 3654 PS. If you want to check what CPU your computer has, right click on "My computer" on the desktop and click "Properties".

  8. If you are on Telstra you can use this to track your phone & also that of your friends. Works really well! http://everyone.whereis.com/
  9. From the above answers it seems that between 10% and 30% extra peak power is achieveable, with the median being 25% extra peak power. My car went from 227rwkw (k&n, CAI, centre muffler) to 252rwkw after custom tune.
  10. ] This is very interesting. Maybe I can change cooler without retune!
  11. Actually, this topic brings up a good point. There is no product in between the Monza ($250), and all of the rest ($1000). I think that the sponsor who brings out a $500 cooler that is good for 300rwkw applications will be onto a winner.
  12. The best solution might be to have a range of power levels required for each 1/4 mile ET. eg 230rwkw-260rwkw etc. Like I said, it should be a rough guide. We need lots of input to make it accurate and worthwile.
  13. Hi guys. I thought that I would have a go at putting together a rough guide to XR6T and F6 modification. There seem to be endless discussions about what modifications are required to reach certain power levels, and to obtain certain 1/4 mil ET's. I am by no means an expert on this topic. All I have done is created a spreadsheet which will allow the user to choose what 1/4 mile time he would like to achieve. Then, based on whether the car is manual or auto, and make of XR6T or F6 the required modifications will become apparent. This is the initial draft, and heaps of required data is missing, and I am sure that there are probably mistakes in it. Please edit the spreadsheet, save it, and re-post it with your updates & changes. Hopefully, it may become a usefull guide. http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~jakexr6/XR6T.xls Remember, it's a rough guide, so don't be too pedantic, nor should this turn into a debate about how dyno's measure rwkw, or how your cousin's stock T ran a 13.0 Cheers, Jake.
  14. Will this work on the Sony Ericsson Z750i ? (Its an A-GPS phone)
  15. Very nice!
  16. I found Lucas Pads excellent - available from ABS brakes. http://soarer.ace.net.au/lucas_trw.html Good braking, no dust, don't chew the rotors. PS. Who makes the stock pads?

    Next Vic Cruise

Another night cruise, one that includes the Nepean & Dandy roads (more lanes). Also let's get out to Calder on a 3degree night sometime soon!
  20. Also center muffler removed, 100RON fuel, gapped plugs. Previously I have seen stock manual T's pull 210rwkw. Maybe the extra 17rwkw is not out of the question..?..
  21. Would you guys say the dyno readings were a bit high? Surely my car on stock tune could not have made 227rwkw ??? (Shell v-Power). My calculations: 195rwkw = 240kw flywheel 227rwkw = 280kw flywheel
  22. Top day! Thanks guys for organising it & putting on the BBQ. My car ran 252rwkw (with 761NM) on the headsex tune - only mods: K&N, F6 intake & center muffler removed. When I put the car back to stock it ran 227rwkw (it would have had a bit of heat soak too by this stage on the stock intercooler) I was pretty happy to see the VE Clubby 6.0L run 224rwkw - which is less power than my XR6T running the stock tune !!! // Jake.
