Speeds on average would be over 110km when noise comes on. Park brake works fine... I take it that the the noise is more superficial than linked with something that may cause potential damage??
Firstly, apologies if this has been raised in previous posts...I have reviewed and searched and have'nt found anthing similar. My stock BFMk2 XR6t ute (2007) produces a 'shush..shush...shush' sound immediately after slowing down from reaching decent speed through rapid acceleration...it only makes this sound in these circumstances. Normal driving etc, no obvious sound is detected. Is this the park brake issue or something more sinister? Any thoughts / direction would be appreciated. Cheers. Scotty

The dealer replaced the high pressure pipe yesterday on warranty...and cleaned up the engine bay pretty well. I'll keep an eye on the fluid levels and hopefully she'll be alright. A mate of mine bought a new dual cab hilux last year and that had the same problem...being a mechanic he just tightened the connection between the high pressure pipe and fluid reservoir and hasn't had any further problems. Cheers
yep...BF (its been a long day!!) It's leaking a fair bit, particularly after a long stint. I suspect the o-ring to the high pressure pipe has itself. Have organised the ford dealer to check it monday...just interested to see if this is common or otherwise. Bit concerned that the heated fluid is dropping onto the alternator directly below.
