  3. Hey Guys, I havnt been on here in months but am looking at getting another T and I miss this place. Great discussions everywhere. My 2 Cents: A valuable insider at ford tells me the new 5.0l will be alot lighter as we all know but apparently the XR8 guise will not be good for bragging rights against Holden. Telling me the XR8 power will not increase and possibly decrease by a small amount. We all know that if the motor loses 10kw but is also 100kg's lighter the car will still be alot quicker and more controlable but unfortunatly everyone loves power bragging rights. I highly doubt a power loss, ford would be silly to do so I would say these are my power predictions: XR8 : 290KW - 300KW GT & GTP: 325 - 335KW If and when the GTHO is built I would suggest a S/C: 375kw + As for the XR6T and F6 I doubt a power increase yet. If they do increase power they need better rubber. Ben
  4. Get a process west CAI. Im getting one very soon and aparently you wont need a tune if your car is standard. Very loud!!
  5. Thanks ZAP for a quick reply!
  6. Hi boys and girls, Can Ford tell if you have had your car on a dyno to check peak power and AFR'S? Or can they only tell if your car has been tuned? Thanks
  7. thanks guys.... ill just change a muffler for a hotdogg for now to get more sound ($140) and ill save up for exhaust, injectors and tune. Thanks
  8. Hey guys, Went to a exhaust shop today asking about dump pipes and high flow cats. They told me if I get a 4 inch dump into a 3.5 inch cat I will need to get it retuned as the car may not be happy but he said a 3.5 inch dump into a 3.5 inch cat will not need to be retuned and the cars should run well. My questions is I am only after a max power output of 320rwkw eventually but at the moment I do not want to get my car tuned. So if I was to get the 3.5 inch dump pipe and cat, would that size be able to support that power (320rwkw) when I eventually get it tuned or is the 4 inch the way to go. should I save up until I can get a tune at the same time or will the 3.5 inch dump and cat be sufficient? Thanks guys really appreciate it. Ben
  9. Thanks benny for the back up mate Enrico before you spend more money on your car get it dynod mate at another place and compare. Good luck
  10. Thanks everyone for all your help. I iwll see what I can get out of the standard turbo safely and if I dont get what I am hoping for then you all know what I will have to do. My aim is to get Cooler, CAI, injectors, Bigger Dump and High flow cat and tune with standard turbo. Then if I dont get the power I am after ill upgrade turbo? So you all recomend the the T04Z if I dont get enough power out of this standard turbo? Sound like a good plan? Thanks guys, appreciate all help.
  11. Go back to where you go the shocks done and tell them to have a look around the car for you on the hoist.... im guessing somthing lose...... I know this mite be a pain in the arse but you might have to put the standard ones back in and see if the fault occurs still. If it does go straight to ford and get them to fix it.....
  12. Enrico in all honesty your exhaust shouldnt be restriciting to much at the power you have....... get in on another Dyno first and see the reading then get your exhaust done and then go to a different tuner....... but if your thinking of doing a cooler and cai mod do them before going to the next tuner....
  13. Thanks for all your input boys so far.... Yes 310rwkw to 320rwkw is all I want for a weekend street car. As I mentioned it will never be touching the track so apart from a good kick in the guts on a private road everynow and then it wouldnt be getting a floggin.... DJ your Dyno at 302 rwkw was without a cooler and CAI mod correct? Was your turbo at a safe level with that tune? If it was then I imagine with a cooler and CAI mod you would gain around 15rwkw which would not put more strain on the turbo..... ? This is on the assumption that 302 rwkw tune was safe...... there for my ideal power figure is achivable safley? Do you have a standard fuel pump? Also DJ if you dont mind what is the cost of a commpresor wheel upgrade you had? How much power would that wheel take? Thanks for all your help guys... keep it coming. To much money to just throw into a tip.....
  14. Great Video buddy. Well sone!
  15. Thanks mate. If you dont mind me asking what was the cost. Yours is a ute yeah so it has leaf springs? how much was the camber kit. Could you show me a side on pic of your car before and after the lowering if you have pics? Thanks mate Ben
  16. The max I want out of this car is 320rwkw's... that's anough for a weekend car that will never be going on the track.... that's why I hope I dont have to touch the turbo..... I would rather say 300rwkw to 310rwkw's if that means not having to change turbos.....
  17. DJKICE I appreciate all your input but I hope your wrong regarding the turbo. I hope it can hand 310rwkw to 320rwkw safely.......
  18. mmmm This is what worries me the ifs about the turbo. whats the costs of a turbo upgrade? 2 g's? I honestly thought according to tuners they were okay for 320rwkw but not much more?
  19. I agree with you DJ but you should be able to feel the difference after a tune?
  20. Hi Guys, I want to lower my FG Xr6t about 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Do I need to change struts or can I just swap over to shorter springs. The other thing is will I need to do a camber kit in the back or wont it effect it to much? Thanks Ben
  21. Hi Enrico, Your bro is the one with the FG XR6T? Has his car been tuned on the same Dyno your using? What did he get? Your RWKW seems low but it all depends on the Dyno.... Ive seen on this forum people gettin high 280rwkw's on there FG F6's. Looking at your 0 - 100kph, 4.8 is quick mate. You would be on your way to a 12.6 - 12.7 1/4 mile which to me seems bloody good for a car on street tyres. The best Ive seen recored on that HSV 427 was 0 - 100 in 4.8 I think and they come out standard with about 285 rwkw's so I guess your car seem comparible. My suggestion is chuck up your Dyno results so we can have a look but if your not happy with the feel of the car chuck it on another Dyno and see what the reading is. You should of definatley felt a difference with the tune though mate. I have a stock FG xr6turbo soon to be tuned and I hope I can notice the difference. In my mates BF the difference was massive. Felt like a different car. Ben
  22. Hey Senna, I was actually told about not needing the fuel pump from (Simon) Nizpro... at those power levels.... So your saying I should? I am up for all suggestions and my main worry is getting my car running this sort of power then somthing sh*tting its self. I am in 2 minds sets. I am either thinking of getting Nizpro to do all my work as I have been told there gear and Simons work is fantastic or using some process west gear then getting injectors and tuned by Simon. My main concern is the exhaust. Do I go out and spend 2Grand for a full system which will get me 320rwkw's or just get a bigger dump and High flow cat for around $800 and leave the rest standard ( possibly remove a muffler for noise or get a hotdog) which then would also be good for 320rwkw's? Will a full system give me a better power curve or is the second option just as effective but cheaper. I thought the FG exhaust flowed good standard bar the CAT? Thanks Senna for such a quick reply. All suggestions are welcome
  23. Hey Everyone, I have a FG XR6 TURBO 6 speed manual, Am thinking about getting a Process west stage 2 cooler and CAI. Also a high flow cath and dump pipe. Then injectors and tune. With these mods ive been told I should get a safe 310 to 320rwkw's? Before I go annoy tuners more will these standard FG turbos hold out at that power? Ive been told they will but I have heard people say there a sh*t unit which has me worried. I have been told that the standard fuel pump will be fine for that power output so no need to change it. Thanks boys for any help you can give me. Ben
  24. Mine is for sale. 38 K.
  25. To be honest guys I think if you break one of those restrictions its a no no. We all know here WRX's are a no no for a P plater...... and that in no way breaks the 4 litre per tonne but power to weight its way over.
