Hello, Dont usually mean to complain as this is my 3rd xr6t and I think the cars are great, 1st was the 5 spd manual 2004 (280 RWKW), then as a company car I had the new 6spd XR6T (Stock) and know I decided to by another with the 6spd (stock) manual BF. I just cannot understand the difference in fuel usage from the 6spd auto (ave 12.5) to the 6spd manual I have know, which is struglling to stay under 13.7 in the ACT; babying it and trying to change gears under 3000rpm. (Both cars where stock) Some differences I noticed is that on the highway at 115km/h the 6spd auto use to rev under or close to 2000rpm, the manual is around 2300rpm. Even the BA 5spd turbo I had use to rev under 2000rpm what have Ford done with the ratios on the 6spd manuals? On the highway between the ACT and Sydney the 6spd could get down to 9L / 100; the manual struglles to get below 10L/100. (avg speed of 115-120km/h) Even the 5spd I had could average under 10 at those speeds) All in all it is a nice car but I would never by a manual again. (Does anyone want to buy one?) Tom
