The crank sensor is magnetic pickup so it shouldnt suffer from heat like older crank angle sensors. My ba xr6t ute had the same problem did it bout 5 times in 12 months till it wouldnt start at all. After finding I had no crank signal removed sensor which had a scuff mark & dent on the end caused by the timing chain guide breaking & rubbing on sensor. Hopefully a one off problem as it was a pita to change chain /guides & sensor.

I have had no problems with my 04 xr6t auto tow ute has been the best tow vehicle as a precaution I did a full service when I bought it inc synthetic trans fluid & filter also replaced the oem radiator with a pwr item as the oem radiators can have a problem leaking water into the trans f#@king the auto ute has exh,f/pump,k&n,& avo cooler kit.will get the dump,cat & injectors when I can get a tune in saying that if you tow in overdrive and flog the sh*t out of it while towing expect to replace the trans out of stupidity

I did this mod very easy & can notice a small difference ,then got ss cold air induction for my birthday so theyr both fitted noticeable difference & induction noise

also another ute I have purchased walbro gss-294 & submersible hose any pics would be great before I attack it

yes 32 gtst drag car when changing radiator I did a full service on the trans & switched the oil to penrite sin auto fluid (fully sinthetic )and the shift is 100% firmer even just in drive. done the radiator / transcooler for towing but am looking for an intercooler before I get a tune will also do cat/dump section before tune aswell. looks like any of the namebrand coolers will be fine. thanks for the info Jason heres a pic of the other toy aswell

hi guys need a recomendation for an intercooler my ute is going to be towing my trailer & drag car approx 1700kg have been looking at the hdi kit as it leaves a large air gap for cooling the radiator vehicle is 04 ba xr6t auto & have allready upgraded radiator with pwr with inbuilt trans cooler also added pics cheers Jason

will only be spectating this year xr6t ute still too std, skyline misssing diff & fuel system will be an awesome event though :biglaugh:

a bit disapointed in power but on that point I bought my xr6t ute for towing my 9.3 sec skyline very good for overtaking on highway loads of torque for towing also done exh & cai so I can hear it power was alot better than the xr8 dough bag I test drove
