hey guys, quick update on the damaged ute. No engine damage whatsoever and car runs and drives fine (although 2 rim/wheels are stuffed) email sensoryamusia@live.com.au if you're interested in buying it, any help spreading the word would be great. And big thanks to Luke, if I knew that bloody inertia switch trick I wouldn't of had to tow it home with my ute!!

It looks like just front end damage, but the ute also has a ding in the back where his neighbor reversed into it last week! I'll be checking it out this weekend. I have a few more pics for anyone interested.

Thanks alot Luke, I bet it is that switch as the engine has no damage whatsoever. I'll check it tomorrow! I won't be parting it out too guys, way too much hassle

Hey guys, haven't been here in ages! (sold the ute) My brother just crashed his ute BA 03 turbo ute on sat morning, slipped out in the wet and hit a tree head on. Uninsured (idiot) so he's tring to sell it as is. Now he slid for a bit and hit a tree head on, est speed 40-50k's when hit. Airbag didn't go off. It started first up, but cut out now won't start. Pics attached of the damage. No idea whats buggered at the moment. But if anyone can spread the word to anyone interested that would be great! my email is sensoryamusia@live.com.au and have a heap of pics. its an 03 BA, full leather and 6 stack ICC, 4 spd Auto which was rebuilt last year (the 'ol leaking fluid BA thing) just over 100k, kms. I was in a bit of a hurry myself, Still playing with the ute man, just did a Built ZF box. Really want to keep it but if I get a good offer I'll sell it, just want to get out of debt this year then I'll be back in another turbo next year or so. I think I'll shed a tear if I hand the keys over though, haha.

same here plenty of f*cking stone chips on the front of my bonnet :/ gonna have to grab some touch up paint. whats your car?

would of been me too, did you cop those roadworks the other day when they didnt sweep the rocks off the road? I was behind a truck - so many stones I had to shut my windows!

I had the extreme Cerametallic in my old BA turbo. Hated it, was noisy as hell too if you rode it (on a hill start etc).

are you running the stock bosch unit? sounds like you need a bigger plumb back blow off valve

I'd get the price down a bit, 28,500 is a bit too steep for a BA. I don't think it's too likely to go "bang", it does have a T56 and good strong clutch, also appears to be tuned by Nizpro which have a great reputation. Best bet would be to get it checked over mate, like all modified cars theres risks to take! good luck, its a good looking ride!

Common problem on the BA's, my brother has to open his with a pair of pliers! So common when I called the RAC for my brother, the dude said they're not allowed to open BA fords bonnet - they have to get the owners to do it! and MR DOSE < Spalted Maple Custom RG 7 < J Craft Custom HRG 7 < Agile 8 string. my 7's are tuned to G :D

yep, I'm just building the last two units up the back. You'll see my nice shiny ute come out at the end of the day covered in dust and sand, too dodgy to park it up near the traintracks!

sounds like either a pipe has blown off, or a rubber seal on a pipe has cracked and split mate double check everythings tight and the seals aren't cracked

they all differ mate, they're not invincible like some of the above posts. Also service the box often ~ 10,000 k's
