  1. Thanks dude. Has anyone used Mr Turbo? There doesnt seem to be many details around just a phone number.
  2. Hey Guys, I noticed my compressor wheel has a couple of very small chips in the fins, so I need to replace it and have it balanced. Can anyone recommend anywhere in Brisbane? Providing there is no other issues what sort of ballpark figure should I be looking for on this job. If it comes down to it I can have the turbo removed and just drop it off, but would be easy to just drop it off and have them do everything. Cheers J
  3. This guy tried it with vinyl.
  4. Could be the fan under the passenger side dash. Mine makes a ticking sound when the fan is on. Then again you said only when accelerating so probably not.
  5. I'm in pending new clutch.
  6. ROFLMAO! This thread is awesome!
  7. Clock on top of the dash comes with the dual zone digital climate control.
  8. I will go for a run down there one night this week and have a look. Maybe something like the Mt Cootha leg of the last night cruise to port of brisbane? If any sunny coasters attend they can head straight back on the motorway from there. Either that or we can all just go and do demo's on the restricted roads down behind the old airport?
  9. Maybe a belt tensioner on its way out, may have deformed a little and is not holding tension at idle. Unforunately they are plastic and can suffer due to the intense heat.
  10. Is there any interest for a Brisbane night cruise?
  11. They screwed up and quoted you for electric? I bought mine through supercheap about 6 months ago, full sweep mechanical cobalt 30/20 and it was about $120. Take the gauge part number in with you and go to a different store. Unfortunately some SCA staff have no idea what they are talking about...
  12. My car has done 47,000k's, it rattles from the front badly over small bumps like you said. I thought it was suspension, but turned out to be brake pad rattle. A new set of pads with anti-rattle shims will be going in soon. This may or may not be your issue, but here's a thread on it: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...c=54239&hl=
  13. Thanks. Good find.

    new370: where are you located?
  15. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Hopefully someone can fill the spot.
  16. I'm still in. Just tell me what time to be there. Have to wash the car now...
  17. The konig's are a nice choice, but the Gram Lights are awesome. Black on black looks good but is becoming pretty common. Both will look hot though.
  18. Mad video. Guy with the paintball gun is Rob Dyrdek.
  19. GVM - Gross Vehicle Mass is the accepted safe, maximum allowable total mass of a fully loaded motor vehicle. It consists of the kerb mass (mass of the vehicle itself with all operating fluids) plus the payload. In other words, carrying your maximum payload plus weight of the car, that is what the total weight would be. Utes weigh in around 1700 - 1800kgs from memory. Nice ride and
  20. As well as dynaliner which is quite versatile, there is also dynapad which I have heard works well on the floor. It's is all available at pretty good prices on Ryda. I have never purchased from them, but plan on getting the dynamat extreme and dynapad when I do the ute.
  21. What brand is the kit? Car looks tough, black on white is an awesome look!
  22. Out of curiosity, what sort of tail light setup were you going to use?
  23. No worries mate, hope that's all it is. If you still have concerns take it to pedders or a suspension specialist to check that everything is lined up correctly, if not it shouldnt be much of a drama to reallign it. JMan had it done a little while ago on his ute after Ford incorrectly fitted his new diff. Details here.
  24. The passenger side of the tub sits closer to the cab than the drivers side, and you can see it by how the tub and cab side skirts dont line up. Also the top of the tub skirts that meet the body are cut substantially thinner then the top of the skirts on the cab, so because my tub sits awkwardly and both the skirts have been cut to thin, the drivers side skirts pretty much line up and the passenger one sits way to far in. But as you were saying, I had a quick look and the passenger rim does sit out further than the drivers, and I put this down to poor placement of my tub, it sits over all to the right by a few mm and is fitted on a weird angle.
  25. Check that the tub sits square on the ute, my ute has never been in an accident but the tub is not quite square. The gap between the cab and the tub is different on each side, this makes the wheels appear to sit differently on each on side. ford told me it was a problem from the factory, I chose not to pursue it out of fear they would only make it worse.
