  1. Nah dude, havent solved it yet and its cool again here so it's not happening. A few searches and the heat factor leads me to believe that it might be a fuel evaporation issue somewhere in the fuel line. If this is the case don't know how to confirm that's it and if it is how do you fix it?
  2. Hey Guys, Looking for ideas. Usually my ute starts first time, until the weather gets warmer and the car has been running. If I turn the car off and try and start it again in the few hours after it usually doesnt start. It either cranks once and then goes completely dead, or more commonly it continues to turn over but doesn't start just keeps trying and then has a small backfire. Any ideas why it wouldn't kick over but backfire? Always starts second try. Ute is a BF manual and stock.
  3. Shame they don't make one to fit manuals. I am about to fit my headunit, but want something to blend the din surround with the gear shift surround so that it all flows like above.
  4. I bought one for $200 about 12months ago, sold it again on ebay for $205. I have seen a couple advertised on here for sub-$200 quite a while ago. I just searched around though and seems most recent ones are going for closer to $300, so without pipes that would prob be spot on.
  5. You won't need the piping, but you will need the brackets depending if you have a BA or BF and what model the cooler came off. Also $350 is to high IMO, you should be looking to pay around $150-$200.
  6. HAHA exactly right. I bought 3 because I was shocked at the price! First time I have ever walked out of Ford Parts smiling.
  7. Yeah I grabbed some in the 20% off sale. Ryco oil filters were somewhere around $25 at SCA, but my store were out of stock. Went to ford, $12 for motorcraft filters.
  8. Also using Nulon 10W-40 with no issues. $60 for 5 litres, or $63 for 6litres at supercrap.
  9. Maybe for me.
  10. This is mine, super lows in the front and pedders spring packs and poly air airbags in the back. The front isnt low enough at all, when I get around to it I will get a set of SSL and camber kit. When you dump the rear end replace the bump stops, I didnt and when it sits this low the ride is violent.
  11. My ute has done this a few times. Only does it randomly when the weather is hot, or sometimes after I shut the car off and start it again shortly after. It happens randomly and my car is stock. Kind of hard to diagnose when it has only happened a handful of times. Someone mentioned on here that it may be a fuel evaporation issue.
  12. Jasper mine has gone as well, I understand u can swap the drivers and passenger seat bases and hopefully wont be as noticable, not a fix but maybe a half decent workaround.
  13. I did mine a while back and from what I can remember, pieces need to be removed are: - Door sill trim - its a few screws - Black lower seat belt cover panel - B pillar trim (above seat belt cover panel) - The piece that sits in the quarter window - be sure to undo the demister plugs from the window. the side carpet over the speakers, back wall and back floor are all once piece and it tucks under the main carpet. I can't remember the correct order to remove the pieces, I do know the door sill was first and I worked from there. I didnt take the whole carpet panel out, because its glued in. I have a spare one here so I will take a pic when I get a chance. Once all the plastic trim pieces were out I just pulled the whole carpet panel infront of each speaker out from the speaker and folded it toward the back wall. Its flexible and the side carpet panels infront of the speakers are not attached to the carpet at the bottom. If that makes any sense at all. I did this ages ago, so going off poor memory and this is probably not the best way to do it, but it worked for me. Hope it helps.
  14. HIRO sells a badboy kit, its a little different. Fibreglass Bonnets And Bodykits - Ford XR6 Turbo.com
  15. Mine has just started doing it, it doesnt need to be at full lock but only happens at very slow speeds. I just assume the steering rack is loose, used to be a common problem AFAIK.
  16. Turbosmart end caps are available at autobarn, they offered them to me when I bought block offs. They are metal but at $17 each I declined.
  17. Never rains but it pours. Spotted Sapnen yesterday arvo on Ferny Ave, Ute looks awesome. Then spotted 666OXR in the carpark. Yeah the ute I saw with the BPS sticker was a black 310, so would have been hiro.
  18. Yeah I'm from coorparoo and also at dominos a fair bit haha. Spotted you on the way home again, turning into main ave. Gave a wave.
  19. I was just going into Dominos as u were leaving, wasn't driving my ute though. You from around that area?
  20. Ah yep it was yours, remember the plate. Sticker must have been on the other ute I saw on Old Cleveland Rd recently. Nice ride.
  21. Saw a black FG F6 ute last night at dominos at coorparoo, had a BPS sticker on the back window.
  22. There is a rubber gromit in the passenger footwell, it's on the right hand side just above the carpet. I went through there, it comes out just under the vacuum line you need to tap into. If you are using an autometer gauge scrap the plastic t-piece that comes with it and get a brass one from Repco/Bursons etc, shouldnt be more than about $5.
  23. Just to confirm the Bkr6Eix will be ok for a non-modified XR6T?
  24. Yeah good point, put up another pic when its all back together.
