  1. Thanks for the tips dude. Tyre shine - of course, I didn't even think of that.
  2. My engine bay, being 5 years old, is looking a little unclean lately. I am going to give it a decent wash but my question is what products to use to bring the pipes and airbox up to a detailed standard. This pic I found on carsales is what I am looking for.
  3. Genuine LOL! 15 - same story, ex gf, didnt finish. But made sure that didnt happen in round 2, finished, bailed through a few backyards at 4am to avoid her dad.
  4. Don Vito - Biggest douche, but awesome watching them continually hang sh*t on him.
  5. TMZ reported he was drinking Miller Lites. American beer is different to Australian beer, Miller Lite is still 4.2%. An American mate told me that generally light or 'Lite' American beers are usually mid - full strength but lower carb. RIP Dunn. Didn't think he would be the first to go.
  6. Here's a thread with some useful info.
  7. The sidewalls on mine cracked severely after 9000k's. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
  8. Hey dude long time no speak. I used an ETM line and got the optional adapter port. Should be easy enough to do if your line already has speedflow fittings, just get the speedflow fitting with the 1/8" hole/port. Shouldn't be more than about $15. The fitting looks like this: http://www.speedflow.com.au/adapters.html - second row first item. Just need the correct size for your line. Don't have a pic of it in the car but will take one when I put it on the hoist. The only issue my mechanic said was that it didn't ground properly, but he just threw a ground wire on it and its perfect, out of the way and no leaks. I'm stoked with it.
  9. Option 3: Braided oil feed line, put a port in for the oil pressure sender to screw into.
  10. My ute is lowered and has the red poly air ones in the rear, no dramas.
  11. Just personal opinion of that workshop from my own experience and a few past customers, nothing against your recommendations bomber. In line with the slander policy of the forum we will leave it at that.
  12. +1. PM me if you want details.
  13. My car would never go anywhere near Bomber's 4th choice...
  14. Nope. XCAL1's are dead. Thanks to our good friends over at SCT who make the flash tuner they have turned off tuners being able to communicate with that model of flash tuner, so unless you still have your BA your unit is now a paperweight.
  15. So I swapped batteries, again. I haven't had the issue in 2 weeks since swapping batteries. But today it happened again. Took 3 tries to try and get it to crank. Finally cranked, got home started it numerous times and it was fine... any more ideas?
  16. Are you going to Noumea and Vanuatu? I did that cruise aboard pacific dawn in November. Drink prices are standard club prices. Cocktails are about $10, heavy beers are about $6 a stubby, mid cans $5. Food is good, don't bother with the buffet it's crap, always do lunch and dinner in the dining room. Lunch you don't book, but dinner you have to, on the first night u can secure a reservation for the week. When you are in the dining room don't assume you can only have one entree and one main, it's unlimited. Get your feast on and eat everything, most of it is really good. When you get the drunk munchies there is a grill on the pool deck, makes a winner burger with chips for $5 or something. Make sure you are sh*tfaced before you get there though. Maybe that's why it was so good. You get a charge card, and can elect to settle it at the end with credit card or pre pay cash onto it. I drank $800 worth of alcohol, but that said I was pretty sh*t-tanked the entire time, and made a point of drinking the entire cocktail menu. The one thing that bummed us out was that we were under the impression that the nightclub stayed open until 4:30 ( I am sure we read this somewhere) yet each night they closed earlier then the previous night, usually about 2:30, with the final night closing at 1:30. When they call last drinks its 1 drink limit per person, so be sure to be royally hammered up by then. Once they close, it's bed time there isn't anything else to do, and no bars open. Not good for someone like me who wanted to continue drinking until sun up... every night. Smoke selection is limited on board, they are like $10 a pack all the time. Or get in with a bartender, they get them from the staff bar for $4 a pack. Duty free cartons, you place your order and then u cant pick them up until you are out of Australian waters or something like that. I bought a few packs on board to get me to Vanuatu, then bought a 10 pack 25 carton for AUD$30. Also got a 2L bottle of beam for $20. There were different theme nights on board, apart from that just rock boardies all the time. If the weather sucks and the seas are rough the pools are closed. Therefore nothing to do. So drink up. And yes drinking at 8:30am is acceptable, even if the bar is still setting up and you are the only person there waiting... beside a table with a family eating a buffet breakfast... still in last nights clothes reeking of alcohol... these things are ok ITS A CRUISE! I went on board with the expectation that it was going to be a non-stop party, it's not. Party time is at night, and that's if people stick around. Days on the water are down time so drink up and relax. Our cruise the travelers were pretty tame, but with a group of 10 you should be the party! there is usually a show (stand up comedy, trivia)on in the night club at night that will fill it, after that most of the people bailed out. They have a 'Motown' show in the showroom, seriously, and this is the best piece of advice anyone can give you, make sure you are WASTED if you think there is even a slight possibility of someone dragging you along to this. Shotgunning beers wasn't overly appreciated by security, they are pretty relaxed on most things though. The staff aren't allowed to put out. It's a pretty mad time, my mates and I enjoyed it. Although had I known before hand, if you are going on the same cruise and have a caucasian mate with longish hair get him drunk before you get off at Lifou. This way you have a better chance of him agreeing to get corn-rows, white guys with corn rows, epically funny. And providing you are single, more chances of pussy for you. Never hurts to take the competition out of the game. Edit: I didn't realise I wrote that much. Good on anyone who makes it to the end.
  17. Achilles - Had 2 on the front both started cracking severely in the sidewall after 9000kms. This was not the first case I have heard of them doing it either. Altenzo - Quiet, fine in the dry, come wet they are downright dangerous, understeer while driving mildly. they will be gone very soon. Accelera - Had them on the rear, for a cheap tyre I was quite happy with them. These are just my opinions based on my experiences. Being the king of sh*t tyres I am getting decent tyres next time.
  18. LINK This is from an old thread, it's not the tie down rails but he did a FG tonneau 'conversion'. Someone says something in that thread about BA/BF & FG inner tubs being the same, if they are I don't see any reason why you couldn't fit the FG system to a BF. Would be pretty good, depending on how much Ford want for the parts.

Probably something similar to this: http://www.lidlok.com.au/
  20. Only just found this, it's a bit old but any chance of getting this back on track? Maybe a link in the group buy section would see more people sign up, or an announcement at the top of the site? Don't know about other but I never check the merchandise section of the forum.
  21. Did the new starter motor sort the issue?
  22. Manual XR6T's are limited to 1200kg's regardless of rated towbar, from what I have read it is due to the clutch. Tornado's get the stronger clutch therefore the the higher tow rating of 1600. (Ford rated loads anyway). I was also under the belief that the 2300kg kits need a load leveling kit?
  23. My stock BF does this exact thing, 3 different batteries and it still happens. Mine also likes to continue to turn over, not fire, and then pop out the exhaust. This usually happens when the car is hot and its a hot day. With both of these issues it always starts second kick though. Mechanic will check it out in January.
  24. Wrap up of what happened including photos of said 'gearboxing' Here Notable quote:
  25. I won't be attending, weather seems unpredictable.
