Check your spark plugs. I had a similar popping/missing sound a while back and a change of plugs fixed it. My T is modified but I assume the same issue can occur with a stock car. Good luck!

I signed up for the iiNet ADSL2+ service last month. I highly recommend it. I also recommend getting the Belkin 4 port wireless router as it has the ability to fail over to the PSTN line when the VOIP is down for whatever reason. I have it hooked up at the moment using one of those cordless phones (have 3 cordless phones hanging off it). When a call is made from any phone in the house it uses VOIP if it is available, if not, it automatically uses the PSTN line. The phone rings when calls are received on both VOIP and PSTN. So, in other words you only need one phone. The quality of the calls in my opinion is great (it actually seems clearer than the PSTN line). Sure you have to still pay the line rental but the calls are damn cheap. Not to mention the super fast internet access

I had a very interesting encounter with a HSV Coupe 4 a few months back. This thing sounded awesome. I'm not sure what it had done to it but it sounded modified and I could see he was in the mood, as when he hit the accelerator the back end started to come out each time. I thought to myself, looks like he is interested I managed to pull up beside him, pumped the accelerator, gave him the blow off a few times, usual turbo stuff We had a clear road in front. I was in 1st doing about 20-30kph (4spd auto) and we both hit it. He jumped ahead initially by just under half a car, but when the turbo got going I was slowly passing him. Once I hit 2nd gear I was about 2 cars in front, and then see ya later. Literally left him and pulling away Mine is not stock though but neither was his. I have an APS Phase 2 + I/C pumping out 310rwkws. The funny thing was though the very next day I found that this guys car was in carsales.com. Had the same plates. I knew it was modified, and the ad said that it was supercharged and had spent over $40k on it. Made me quite happy indeed I wonder if he put it up for sale after the kill and will end up buying a XR6T or a Typhoon Cheers Rob

True enough hahaha I was just mentioning it so that people don't go out and buy the adapter/converter if it doesn't work straight out of the box.
-
I was under the impression (when reading through the long thread on digital tv) that the output of the digital set top box being used was an interlaced signal (via SCART), I.e. the Ford ICC takes a RGB+Sync NTSC interlaced signal. If this is the case, then the converter that you mention above will not work. Can anyone confirm this? Or at least put me in my place

Thanx alot mate. I'll let you know how I go with it, but it might take a while as I will be working in Perth for the next month or so.

Thanx mate. PM sent.

I would also like to know this. Further to this, is it possible to obtain the actual format of the data that is output via the OBDII port for the XR6T (I assume each car is different)? This is probably proprietary Ford information though. I am asking, as I am a software engineer and would like to experiment with writing some software to decode the information and display it. Taking it further would be to display it on the Premium screen I recall that someone on this forum has already started doing this, but have not heard any updates on it for a while. How is it going? Cheers Rob

Yes, the spare is a Dunlop SP9000 and it is to be placed on the left side of the car. It is OK to put a directional tyre on the wrong side just not for long and don't do anything silly. My front left tyre developed a bulge in it and the spare came in handy. Obviously since it was on the correct side of the car, I could drive it as per normal. I recommend to anyone to option the spare alloy.

Mick, I am very interested in this setup and also the oil pressure guage as well. How much for the guages and can I walk into any Ford dealership and get the Typhoon pod?
-
I am very happy with the Premium brakes! They are awesome. I have over 300rwkws and they stop extremely well when they are called upon Well worth the extra $$$ But, you do pay a premium when they need replacing too. I had mine replaced at 37500kms, and it cost me $650/rotor (fronts) and $220/pad. that's what price my dealer quoted me, not sure if I could have got the exact same factory rotors for cheaper else where. Apparently, its normal that they last 35k-40k kms. Not sure if its an issue with you but thought I'd mention it anyway.

I run SETI and Climate Prediction at home. I started doing SETI about 3 yrs or so ago. My mate put me onto it and we raced our computers by overclocking them hahaha Doesn't matter what it is, its all about the speed Maybe we should start our own XR6 Turbo team

Oops!! I clicked on 280-320rwkws. Then I read the question again. I'm not using standard injectors. If a mod can remove my vote it will be a more accurate poll. Sorry!!

Hmmmm. You mean you can get the premium rotors for around half the price I was quoted? Genuine factory ones? If this is the case, I might do some phoning around to several dealers and find out the difference in prices. I would have thought all Ford dealers would charge the same for parts? If this is not so, I will be calling the dealer and asking them what is going on.

Yep, I have heard this from a few people now. I am sure that alot of people do not know this though. Funny how the dealers don't tell you this when you first buy the car
