I put in a set of 55Watt 6000K HID'S for my high beam lights (BF series 2) You need to modify the original Ford globe holder by drilling and the use of a dremel tool. (this then holds the new HID globe and clips into the lens bracket) I do a lot of Friday night drives up to country Victoria and the result is phenomenal. Pete
  2. If you want to cover the holes temporarily, go into Clark Rubber and buy some rubber grommets, they have heaps of different sizes and should do the job.
  3. Thanks a heap Cashie, (I should have used a few more words in the search column before doing this post !) Much appreciated. Pete
  4. Hi all, How hard is it to change the standard XR6T wheel over to the FPV version without using a dealership service centre. Is this something that can be done without setting of the airbag etc at home if you are careful?. Would be great to hear from someone who has done this and what process you need to take with disconnecting airbag, what screws need to be undone etc. (I have searched the forum but could not find anything on the actual removal process) Cheers, Pete
  5. Hi guys, No sun roofs etc, fairly stock standard cars, one with full cloth the other with partial Leather option. Pete
  6. Hi all, Looking at two cars at the moment, one private one at a dealer. Both around 7,500klms, both 07 July upgrade 6spd Auto's but not the very last series with the grey inserts on the lower bumper's, skirts etc. Is $32,000-$33,000 around the mark?, just thinking as there has already been an FG turbo on car sales for under 40k this may be a bit strong. Cheers for your input. Pete
  7. Thanks for the comments so far guys, I am starting to think this colour is not that bad to look after at all. I remember when I was in the car trade and we started selling impreza's in the wrc rally blue (this was when it was a non metallic darker blue than the current colour) No matter how hard the guys in PD tried to get these scratch free, it was very difficult. I was concerned that Bionic although lighter, being a non metallic may have suffered in a similar fate. Cheers, Pete
  8. Hi all, Have been looking at buying a BFII Turbo and keep thinking about Bionic blue as my preferred colour. I'm interested how many of you have this colour and if it is hard to look after with scratches etc. I've looked at this colour a bit and some are in great condition but some really bad (very heavy swirls) (Have looked at lightning strike or white also for easy maintenance but keep going back to Bionic, just think its a great colour) Congrats on a fantastic forum also. Cheers for your help. Pete
