  1. Hi boys, I managed to stuff one of my tyres today and need to get a couple of replacements. Just wondering if anyone has tried both of these tyres on the same car and what they would choose. The G6ET is not driven too hard (unless I'm running late for bowls), but do a lot of highway speeds. any help appreciated. Cheers, Pete
  2. I did the same with my BF also but used the globe holders that are currently in use. I attacked these with a drill and then Dremel tool round file so the HID globe would slide within the fitting. Worked great and will do the same with my FG once I get off my Arse! Let me know if you need a photo. Pete
  3. Stopped making cream (cashmere) interior as an option around the middle of the year. I think only black leather now.
  4. Not sure how many shims they fitted but think they were 6mm. all up it cost me $187.00 inc GST. When you look at the cost of replacing tyres I thought this was ok. Pete
  5. Just thought I would give these guys a quick plug. Although not a site sponsor, I used them to do a full alignment and to add shims to the suspension after having the King Springs installed. so far they seem to have done a good job. Not cheap but neither is replacing scrubbed tyres after it is too late. They also have a great café as part of the business so you can grab something to eat etc while you wait.
  6. Hi Johnny, Have installed exactly the same springs as you. when you mentioned loads in the boot etc it got me worried and decided not to put the SSSL's in the rear. So far very happy with the job done by Damien at suspension city North Melbourne
  7. You can get rims only on eBay. Some one in Adelaide sells them,
  8. Thanks for the response boys, It was actually Suspension city where I was today Andrew. unfortunately they had run out of the front springs so we will be doing this next weekend. I think the + is the same as going 68SSSL. Apparently by putting the SSSL in the back it sits the car flat instead of being nose down? (Did you also have a 6 mm shim kit fitted A few weeks after install?) Pete
  9. Hi Guys, I was down at the suspension place today who have suggested putting KFFL-40SSL in the front and KFRL-68SSL+ in the rear. Every where I have read indicates KFRL-40SSL in the rear. just wondering if any one has gone the ultra low version in the rear and how the car sits. Cheers, Pete

    G6E Turbo With 19'S

Hi boys, Finally got some 19s on my G6ET. Bought these off ebay a couple of weeks ago but had to pick them up in Adelaide. (Bloke owns a FG Super Pursuit with 20s, I bought the five rims and tyres) Now, how far do I lower the car..........
  11. Thanks Rab, Much appreciated. Cheers, Pete
  12. Hi Guys, Have just bought five FPV super pursuit wheels and tyres and need to get them from South Australia to Melbourne. If anyone has some suggestions or recommendations of freight companies that would be great. (Otherwise I will need to drive over and pick them up) Cheers, Pete

    Test Drive Today

You will be really happy with the car, I have had mine just over a month and love it. Agree an LSD would be nice, but not the end of the world. Pete
  14. Put them up for tender in the classifieds with photos so we can see what they are like. (I need a set of wheels for my G6ET)
  15. Hi Guys, Wondering if anyone has tried fitting a BF Sedan tow bar onto an FG. A did a search and see the Utes are the same but have gotten conflicting stories on the sedan. I have a BF Tow bar ready to go but wanted to make sure. Cheers, Pete
  16. Good colour choice Hazey. Pete

    G6E Turbo With 19'S

All good info Juggernaut, I'm still a little undecided on what way to go. Pete
  18. Thanks Tocchi, much appreciated. Pete
  19. Hi Guys, I need to put the towbar from my BF onto my G6ET and wondering if this can be done by removing the rear lower bumber insert only. I had a quick look under the car on the weekend and can see a couple of screws and several clips but looks fairly simple. Wondering though if there is anything hidden that may stop the insert coming off. Appreciate any guidance. Cheers, Pete
  20. Hi Boys, As the title says, wondering if anyone has done this and how difficult. When I had the BF before the FG, this is something I did myself one weekend. Fairly straight forward, didn't remove the bumper and was done after an hour. Will I need to remove the bar on the FG or does the lower bumper insert come out?, should I get a bumper place to do this? I pulled the towbar off the BF a couple of weeks ago but will need to start towing fairly soon. (I can get the plug in loom off Ebay) Cheers for any input. Pete
  21. When I was looking at a second hand F6 instead of the new G6E Turbo, AAMI was the cheapest. Pete
