I am looking for a car cover on the market that actually fits my F6 RSpec. I have trialled 2 types in extra large (to fit over the back spoiler) but none of them seem to fully cover the car or keep the rain out. Besides getting a custom fit, does anyone know of a car cover on the market that fits Typhoons really well and keeps the rain out ?????

Silk RSpec, I was travelling from Albury to Melbourne on Sunday and I felt slight surges (4-5 times over the 3 hour trip) which I have not felt before. My Rspec has also just clicked over 15,000km's. I have the FPV day tomorrow and it is booked in for the 15K service next week and I will ask them to have a look at it. In Feb this year I had a faulty fuel pump, which was replaced under warranty. It has purred ever since. I'll let you know if it keeps surging and whether Ford find anything next week. Cheers

The course sounds great. I am booked in for the 3 July 2008 course at Sandown. Is anyone going to this one ? I have done the BMW one at Phillip Island a couple of years ago with an M3. It was awesome. I can't wait to take the R Spec out on the track to see how they compare to an M3. The beauty of the BMW course is that you get to flog BMW's car's and not your own.

$56K driveaway for an RSpec (delivery K's - 2km) from Courtney & Paterson. Good selection the FPV website under "vehicle locater" but some look pricey.

Bounty, go the RSpec. It has the FPV suspension handling Pack which is only fitted to the RSPECS (300 only) and the 40th Anniversary GT's, standard leather and MP3 / I-pod plug. I was in the same boat a month ago and decided to go the RSpec as it come with the extras that the standard phoon doesn't come with. Also given the FG Typhoon is coming out mid this year (according to FPV) you will be able to bargain a great price for a current shape. I managed to cut $6K off the onroad price of a new one as the dealer wants to make room for the new ones. Cheers Good luck with the decision.

Got the car back today and is running fine, just like when I picked it up new. FPV called me also today to see if everything was getting fixed. I told them that they found the faulty fuel pump and FPV advised that it is a Ford issue, however were going to look into the problem with Ford. Like F6Rdodgnroos they ran my car all day yesterday and left the tank empty. The good thing is the Trouble and Strife returned the courtsey car (Fairmont Ghia) empty as well. Got one back. Cheers

Hi all, I just had a call from my dealer after yesterday's failure in the heat in Melbourne. They tested the F6 in the workshop and emulated another hot day after leaving it running for an hour idling in the workshop. Thank god it failed for Ford and they found that the fuel pressure dropped and cut out just like all the other reports, meaning a faulty fuel pump. Getting changed in the morning as they need to courier a new one in. Thanks Paul for the good advice. My dealer rang your dealer and they undertook the same test and found the same problem. They tell me that the pump is off to Ford HQ to analysis. Cheers

I have a 3 week old RSpec and guess what, when my wife was driving on the Eastern Freeway the the car spluttered and died in the arse. Today is about 40 deg and it was towed to a our Ford Dealer to a looking over just as they closed. The service guys took it for a drive and it didn't play up at all. Run perfectly. I ask the guy about yours and he didn't know of any fuel pump problems in the model, or so he said. In the workshop and will make contact with him. My wife is s medical rep and she cannot afford the car F**king up. Just sold a 2 year old Beemer as it was giving us problems and want to get rid of it before it was going to cost me. I hope I don't have to do the same thing. Will keep you posted about they say to me tomorrow !!!
