  1. Seriously I hope you manage to avoid the revenue collecting machine and keep your 1 point
  2. I also heard on the news that speed camera fines were going to go up. Didn't here the whole thing so not sure when or by how much. 1 point to march next year and a new XR6 turbo. Mate good luck!
  3. Not good enough that we are pushed back because we are fleet purchases. My company is only small but we have some 25 Fords and have stuck with them despite their questionable resale. You would think that loyalty would count for something. :(

    Xr6t Or Gt ?

Nothing beats that v8 sound, but my boss doesn't like v8's so it is an XR6T for me. Feeling hard done by. NOT!!!
  5. Congratulations to you all. So it was worth the wait then? Dumb question!
  6. Got this from Fordforums. Courtney and Patterson in Hiedelburg Vic have xr6T's on site and unsold. I spoke to them and it's true. They still wont sell unless it is retail, ah well back to the waiting game.
  7. Just visited my dealer who has just taken delivery of an XR6T. Had a good look all over it. Blueprint just like mine will be, but it was a manual where mine will be auto. Looking at it in real life reminded me of what a beautiful vehicle it is. I am hating the wait, but it will be worth it in the end. Annoyed it wasn't mine, but gobsmacked at how good they look.
  8. Congrats on the arrival of your new toy!
  9. Just spoke to the dealer. It has lleather and premium sound, but he wont sell it at govt. pricing. Bugger!
  10. Ah the price of success. It one thing to have a great car, another thing to get one. I am jealous of anyone who will see their car this year. I know it is fustrating, but everytime it gets put back just think of the poor schmucks like me who have to wait until March 03. CEO of Ford Oz is Geoff Polites, but contacting him will not change the delivery date of your car. I know I tried.
  11. Ford has a brilliant product, but why release something in September that they are unable to supply. I know the lucky 'few' are starting to take delivery and that's great. However, all the production/component problems are making these deliveries run at a trickle. The other thing is the Ford marketing machine has not handled the situation very well. The public who have ordered these machines have had to chase through every avenue they have had available to them, SIDO numbers, someone who knows someone etc. Surely someone who is spending some 45k+ deserves better support than that. I have found that it depends on what dealer you talk to as to the story you get. I know Ford are trying everything to increase production, but they need to be up front with customers. Not wait for the customer to have to chase them only to be told 'oh yer that delivery date? No goona be another week, fortnight, month..." Ah well that's my rant for this morning

    Advice Please!

I think you have most likely saved yourself $$$ by going after market. The price for the 'real deal' wheels seems hefty.
  13. Just spoken to my dealer, now he tells me that he ordered beginning of Oct. Still that will make it a 6 month wait. As to why it will take so long, dealer said they are only small and as a result only have a small allocation? They have not even been given an expected delivery date. Just sometime after Feb. 03. Don't really understand why the hell it will take so long.
  14. Here is my tale of sadness. Part of an email I sent to Ford customer relations. As yet I have had no response to my message from yesterday. So here it is again. I live in country NSW and ordered my XR6 Turbo through my local dealer for obvious reasons. This order was placed in early September and I was informed by my dealer yesterday that if I see my car before March 03 it will be a miracle. This is bloody rediculous. It will be 7 months from the time it was ordered until I get my car. What makes it even worse is I know for a fact that other people have ordered the same vehicle from different dealers after me and will take delivery long before mine even hits the productionn line. What a joke. I understand that this is a new model, hugely popular etc., but 7 months is crazy. On top of 7 months I will also be slugged with a 2% pice increase. I am kicking myself for not going through a large city dealer, maybe one owned by Ford. I think if I had done that I would not be in this situation. Another case of the country being left behind? I was quite happy and was expecting to wait a while for such a great car, but not bloody 7 months. I love my fords and want to stick with them, but Ford don't make it easy. In addition to this I rang everywhere from Sydney to Melbourne yesterday and every dealer is now saying Feb/Mar 03. To be expected. If I wanted my car then I would be ordering now. Whilst I wait and twiddle my thumbs the km's on my trade in go up and the value goes down. One seriously PISSED OFF Ford Fan
  15. You don't have anything to be depressed about. My dealer said he 'hopes' mine will turn up in Feb, but can't garantee it.
  16. Advice I recieved from Richo@ Fordforums is order this year to avoid price increase. Your car should be sold to you at the price it was when ordered, not delivered.
  17. Congrats. Whats your delivery date look like.
