Yep, want auto. I would like to get an already modified Ba .........But when I see already modded one I naturally think its been boosted above anything I would and thrashed.

It is auto I am talking about. I was under the impression that BA mk2 had stronger LPG edition rods? In regards to valve springs I will get atomic or nizpro. Its just the Conrods that are really concerning me. Can anyone shed light on the rods?

I have found a 2004 BA xr6t that I am pretty sure I want to buy. Was just wondering, should I save my money and look out for a Mk2. I know from reading past posts, that the Mk2 came with LPG rods. I am looking to mod car straight away to 250rkw, then to 290-300rkw. I am concerned about the springs and rods (more so). How much can they handle? To achieive the above results, I will be getting intercooler kit,injectors etc so less stress. I can not afford BF so BA mk2 is stretching my limits. Will a BA mk1 be sufficient? Also, since I am asking, how much would rods cost to put in. There are a set of atomics on ebay for 900. Thanks in advance, Jack

I used MOTUL for the 5.7l ss. Worked good. I used the semi synthetic as the fully synthetic is real expensive. So I plan on using MOTUL on xr6T wen I get it. Can anyone tell me what weight to buy in semi synth or fully synthetic for a 6cyl turbo?

Hey guys, I am a new member here and need help with finding insurance for a 2003 xr6t. Coming from a 5.7l SS, I only pay 1100 premium and 1200 excess at the moment. Just rang up just car and got quoted 2500 premium, 4000 excess. I really like the ford but do not want to pay that much(excess is whats worrying me). Just want to know what other younger drivers use for insurance and how much they pay for excess and premium. Also I am a qld resident and got my license before restrictions. If you guys can help would really appreciate. Thanks in advance, Jack
