Mainlube Engine & Diff Oil Flush + New Mainlube Fluids + Magnets.

Pulls all the bits of metal that the ZF filter can;t catch go the floor of the pan. When you drop the pan at next service you simply remove the particals. It's all about removing the metal from your oil so your parts dont wear. Same with the Oil filter. Check this pic out below of an oil filter cut open after 10k's while have the filtermag on it:-- 22 replies

Hi all, Just thought I’d post a bit of a photo journal of my recent Engine & Diff flush and re oil using Mainlube products. See below what I used:- 2 x GTX Mineral oil or any crap mineral oil you can get cheap. Just recently Repco ran the 4ltr varieties out the door for $5 this is all you need. Must be a mineral oil though.Cheapest Gear oil you can find, I just used the Penrite stuff ($20) but I’m sure there is cheaper stuff out there.Mainlube Engine Flush AdditiveMainlube Gear Oil 75w140 appearance is as red as red can be.Mainlube 10w60 appearance Avocado/Olive.FilterMag RA300Filtermag TM360 transmission Pan App First Get the car in the hoist and drain both the Engine and Diff oil. Then we re filled with the Mineral Engine oil and the Diff oil and the instructed amount of flush for both Engine and Diff. 11/1 is the ratio. Now its time to let the car run and ilde for approximatley 20 mins with say every 5 mins jumping in the car and bringing the revs up to 2200 for say 30 secs. We decided to kill two birds with the one stone by jacking up the back, chocking the fronts and slipping it into drive. This way we cover both the engine and the diff flush at the same time. Possibly I little bit dodge but no damage done. We then simply dropped both the Engine and Diff oil and re filled using the Mainlube Oils. 10w60 Mainlube Engine Oil with secret herbs and spices! Mainlube 75w140 Gear Oil that is the redest liquid I think I've ever seen! Now the simple intsall of the Pan Magnets. *****Warning if you have never played around with strong earth magnets before be very very careful, I literally almost broke my finger off holding them and moving to close to a tool box***** Scared the Barjesus out of me. Then fit the Oil filter Magnet. (for illustartion purposes only, forgot to take pic of my one)! And all done! Ready to go racing. I'd like to say a special thanks to CMS for the use of his shop, hoist, staffer and Kingston bikkies! http://www.cmssydney.com.au/ Also a special shout out to Aaron and Peter from Mainlube. http://www.mainlube.com/cms/ Links below to the mainlube Oil bulletins used in this service:- Gear Oil - http://mainlube.com/cms/uploads/File/154%20SB.Synthetic%20Solid%20Boundary%20E%20P%20Gear%20Oil(wos)%20pdf.pdf Enigine Oil - http://mainlube.com/cms/uploads/File/175%20Synthetic%20Racing%20Engine%20Oil%20(wos).pdf

I've now also fitted Aeromotive speed controller which is working a treat. But we had to also buy and fit a autometer tach adapter to get rpm but all super sweet now. Hey Nasa use aeromotive so they must be ok. Well that's the speel anyways! Just remember they are a great pushing pump and don't like to suck so you must make sure the intank is up to the job to supply the surge. "."

Seriously best combo ( I know I''ve tried plenty) without going to Brembos is the T3's with a ferodo ds performance pad. Nuff said. "."
-
You can pay up to 12k on a ZF build but VIN you will getaway with a stage 2. "."
-
Input in billet from $1500 cryo and shotnpeen from $600. Add another $1k for the intermediate if billet is required. "."
-
Ok so Clint just puts them back together. "."
-
So bionic is the machining done in house or is that part out sourced? "."
-
Well there you go VIN PAS is your local answer. Stage 2 pricing Clint is? "."
-
I was sure Ben's box was built by Robbie at MT! "."

Driveabililty is hardly effected in my case at least shifts are a little firmer but not heaps. I also run a decent size trans cooler off my ZF which also keeps the trans temps in check when your assholing it. Also 2 zfs have gone 9's now so you can see if they are put together right they can perform. Costs wise budget for 5+ and a little more if you want more billet goodies and a stally. "."

Not to sure how many OLD shops if any are building ZF's from what I understand most shops are shipping them either to Sydney, Melbourne or Perth to have them built. Three shops that quickly come to mind are CMS (SYD) Nizpro (MEL) & Monster Torque (PER). A stage 2 spec box will more then cover your power and torque goals. I have a CMS stage 2 box and it's more than capable of my almost 500 rwkws and 950 nms of torque. "."
