Unless the track is in perfect prep (so really only ANDRA events like T&T and FTF) your going to struggle to net consistent sub 2 sec 60'fts on street tyres. My best effort on a street tyre (245/40/18) was at such an event and I was able to net a 1.738 Failing a good prepped track you'll need the following:- Built Tail shaft MT 275/40/17 radials ( or similar) 8 - 10 psi of boost Now I found the best method of launching was letting the car tell you so, what I mean by this is that you build your stall on the footbrake and you'll 1st start to hear the spool and then once the car feel like it about to move or actually does start to move this is when you go. If you use this method I assure you, you will need 1.6's or lower but in saying that you'll need to make sure you've also willing for something to break. Practice and patience is the key here, you may fell like your stalling for ages when in fact your only stalling for 2 - 3 secs. Build your stall slowly and for as long as it takes to get either your desired boost or my method of waiting for the car to slightly move. Good luck!
