That was a very straight charger before it hit the wall. I feel sorry for the guy, on his first run for the day hitting the wall but credit to him he was still there at 6pm racing. I have film of most runs including Johns 10.9, a bit of wheel spin off the line and still 1.66 60' great effort. I ran 4 11.4's in a row all at 124mph so the car was a little off its normal pace but still very consistent. I wanted to finish the day off on a good note so I went for a big burn out and harder launch only to get a heap of slip from the ZF and run a 11.5, so after approval from the missus I stayed for 1 more run only to get more slip, a cabin full of smoke at the end of the track and a 11.6. I gave the car a bit of a thrashing last night and the box seems ok but it might just need a freshen up sooner rather than later....

I will be heading out with the aim of improving my PB or breaking something either way it should be fun.

I improved my PB from 11.351 to 11.307 its not much but its something. I was happy with my consistency last night with, 11.373, 11.331 and 11.307. I still have room to move on my 60' with a best of 1.769.

Rhys86, I think anywhere in the 11's will be a good first outing. I will be heading out tonight hopefully I will improve on my 1.85 60'.

Try 1/2 tank and removing your spare, its not a lot a weight but ever bit helps. I can't remember exactly but I think I ran 23/24 psi in my 19's. Then just give it a good solid burn out. Some people say it does not make to much difference on the street tyres but my best 60's came with my biggest burn outs. As for the launch just try to get the car just on boost.say 0 to 1psi, the boost is such a fine line a little to much and you smoke em not quite enough and you get lag. After a couple of outings you will start to feel that balancing point between lag and wheel spin, from there the times will come.

Is the car auto or manual? Work on you 60', if you can get it down to 2.0 you should sneak an 11.9999999. Still a good effort for you first outing. It took me several runs before I could get my 60' below 2.2 and several more before I managed a 1.9 on my 19's. In the words of JP300 'do a bigger burn out'.

Ohh that the good missus vs the car. I have been planning a wedding with ever increasing costs (much like my car), every time I say no to something I get the standard response 'oh its ok for your car but not your wedding'. I have tried many excuses, most recently those m/t's. I borrowed the rims from JP300 and bought the tyres, so I missled a little by saying that the wheels were borrowed and failed to mention the tyres or their costs.

Its $50 to race...try to get there close to 5pm...that way you can get the maximum runs for the night....

that's an awesome result for such minimal mods, 1.6 6o' is impressive. There must be some thing special in the 'Elite enhanced' injectors. Was that full wait and pump fuel? Can you post up a dyno sheet ... Do you care to share some of your launch technique for the ZF......

Building a motor and trying to save money at the same time never really works. Do you need the .70 compressor housing right now? If not concentrate on getting the motor as good as your finances allow, then look at turbo mods down the track.
