  1. I thought I recognised that Acid Rush XT driving past this morning. If you look around the corner, you'll see my Silhouette XR6.
  2. I'm hoping its the fact that the first thing I do every morning is drive up Hindmarsh Drive (fairly steep incline). I'm trying to organise a trip up to Sydney soon, so I can see how it does on the open road.
  3. Aloha tech-heads. Ok, so I have an NA XR6 and its only done 750kms so far -- but the fuel consumption is sitting at 15.6l/100km and I thought it should be around 12l/100km. Is it just adjusting and I should wait until I've done like 1500km or should I be worried?

    Myford.com.au

Woohoo. Just submitted my details! Let's see what I get.
  5. My Aux Plug-in is still on back order, but once its installed, I'll post some pics for you.
  6. CJF: Where did you get those images from? I still can't see the option on the Ford website...
  7. You guys must all be Northside, because I haven't spotted many XR6's running around the Southside of Canberra. I did spot one Acid Rush heading away from Fyshwick on Sunday afternoon and another Phantom in Fyshwick (though, that one was an Interstate car, I think). Those are the only 2 I've seen all week.

    Xr6t Club

Question: Is membership open only to BA XR6 Turbo owners? I ask because AFAIK the NA XR6 is not modified by FPV at all.

Ok, I must be blind, because I can't find a Fairmont option anywhere on the Ford website. Also, I've entered my VIN on the www.myford.com.au website, but its not showing me any of my vehicle history .. does it take a day or two to kick in, perhaps?

    Copied Cd's

I've got some custom CDs in my XR6 with Premium Audio and they're just fine.
  11. CJF: I have the original layout on my PC. Let me know what format you want it in. I can re-do it up at 150 or 300dpi for print purposes, if necessary.
  12. Ok, here's my first attempt. This is business card size, in colour.
  13. I have the MING pack, Goose. Paint and interior protection are already on the car, the sound and rust proofing are coming in the New Year (the gun that applies the stuff broke on the day they were preparing my car, hence the delay). Can't vouch for its effectiveness yet, 'cos I've only had the car 2 days -- I do know that once you get the Ming paint protection, you're not supposed to use normal detergent to wash the car, they give you shampoo to use. Same with the interior protection.
  14. It was either an S or an SS. Either way, it was behind me pretty quickly.
  15. Ok, had the car for 2 days, so here are my first impressions: - Man, this is a smooth ride. - Oooh. Buttons. What happens if I push.. this one? - *vroom* *vroom* - Did I mention how smooth this ride is? - Right. Let's play with the sequential shift and that SS Commode over there. - See ya, Sucker! - Yeah, envy my ride, dude. Overall, the car is an amazing piece of machinery. I've driven it nice & smooth and hard & fast -- and either way, its just a joy on the road. The steering is heavy enough to feel safe taking corners at anywhere from 55 - 75km/hour. The power pedals are great, 'cos I can raise them up to my height and heel-toe the accelerator. The satellite navigation means I never have to ask for directions again, which is always good. The sound is clear and easy to use, though loading the stacker is a tad annoying. Ford got it right: Can't get enough of this! -- I keep making excuses to pop down the shops.
  16. Hell, I think the 182kW in the NA XR6 is enough, but then I'm all about style over speed. And the XR6 has enough of both for me!
  17. I was driving down Athllon Drive in Canberra this morning and spotted an Acid Rush XR6 (couldn't tell if it was a Turbo, 'cos I was in front of it!) in the rear-view mirror. Sadly, it turned off before I could get a good look, but from what I did see, it was very pretty. I think it had Victorian plates on, but I only caught a quick glimpse! I was in the Silhouette XR6 slightly in front of you, if you're around.
  18. This is probably going to be more difficult than I originally imagined. I drove up there earlier and security is pretty tight at the moment (go figure). So, I may have to give this idea a miss, sadly.
  19. Last one, to show you what the Satellite Navigation screen looks like:
  20. Here's another!
  21. Ok, this new Proud Papa has a few pictures to share! Yeah, I've left the licence plate visible, but I think you'll agree that it just finishes off the car...
  22. For the Satellite Navigation. Its controlled via remote.
  23. Then I can imagine her getting all cloy and sexy: "You know, you'd get there so much faster if you just turned right. Yeah, that's right, turn right.. you know you want to, big boy!" :D
  24. Heheh. The SatNav is awesome, I'm really glad I chose that over the Turbo (... waits for the speedfreak lynch mob to arrive ...). See, I'm not about speed. I like creature comforts and flashing lights and buttons. And a remote control! My car has a remote control! How freaking cool is that?!
  25. Yeah, I just tweaked the bass/treble a little -- also the DSP and the SatNav seem to hate each other too. The SatNav voice is REALLY weird when the DSP is enabled.
