There might be one more go, a street tyre bench mark. Just before I need new tyres I may have a go. It`d be wheel spin city. I`m hoping I get a call to finally get my front finished this week. I also need to source and fit new rotors and pads.

OMG the Rapid Typhoon?? That sux, G. I`ve got my front brakes gone.. Wear indicator, big arse judder some times just as it rolls to a stop. I`ll prolly do the rears while I`m at it. So comrades, I`m of the opinion I`ll retire from the drag strip. I got 2 reasons, my Mickey T`s have served me well for the 150 bucks they cost me, but they are gorn.. I`ve lost .200 off my previous best 60 foots. I have a car that does 11`s, I`m good with that.. Okay I can do 11.6 atleast maybe be better but I`m not about to throw $$$$$ on new Mickey`s to do it. Nor am I going to tear the ring out of a new set of rear pads staging. Its been fun, but I`m a crew chief from now on. New brakes, springs, 27 mm front sway bar and bring on the track days and mountain cruises.

Well, it didn`t get as cool as I`d hoped. The NA BA crew were out in force having some fun. Good on `em. Only 2 Elite cars there I could see, mine and a rapid Typhoon. I had my last run at 9:08pm and it was race number 323.. No crowd at all really. I think my slicks are past there use by, I ran them at 18 psi and despite a fairly extravagant burnout still spun the crap outa second and lost .200 off my previous best 60 foot with 14 less kw`s. Also had a pretty sobering weave up in the top end of the last run. My best is 11.85 and that`s going to stand for some time. I`m done with it for now.

Some time in the future I`ll post something serious and you might compare the difference to what was typed here..

Actually, running a close second to that as highlight of the night was running that guy over in the staging lanes as we pushed the Bogan Mobile. Herb and I were head down bum up pushing on the boot then: boomfff -- rumple.. awwww! lolz0r..

I studied my previous best versus the best I did last night. I`m thinking that the added power has cuased some traction issues. I`ll try lower pressures and some different techniques. Certainly a good showing of Elite cars on the night, SO PHAT versus the white GT was easily the highlight. The Bogan going quicker each time out is almost a given thing now.

Okay I`m prolly first home, I ended up with 11.85 @ 119.84 mph. I always vow to never return on a wednesday night, I generally fail . First run I got my best ever mph, 120 .64 despite launching the car in second gear like a complete goose. Next run not entirely sure what I stuffed up but I netted an 11.92, shattering my previous PB of 11.95. Okay last run, car just turned at right angles during the burnout and I knew the tyres were not heated hardly. Didn`t seem to loose much off the line, but did it need some steering on the 1-2 shift. That was my quickest run to date, 11.85. Second quicker than with the 310 kw tune. I gained .200 on my 60 foot. If I can fix that ( tyre pressure I`m thinking ) and not creep thru the staging beams as I know I did on the last run, I think the car could have an 11.4 in it. It was pretty hard to stop in the top end so maybe I need new brakes. The Bogan PB`d again ( he does every trip ) but I`ll let Steve elaborate on that himself. I`m not too disheartened, 120 m ph was a goal and I did that tonight. Sub 11.50 is next and then its retirement.

I am and I`m reliably informed that the Bogan and the Typhoon Freak will also attend.

I took one out on the weekend it was a real pain in the arse. Cause of my bigger intercooler, I had to get an old Yamaha 10 mm open ender and bend it at right angles. I did take the bar of cause there`s a bolt hides under the corner. I`m not looking forward to doing it again.. Airbox out, battery out, front bar off.. ugh. Could an easier way but it didn`t become apparent to me.

I love Trico stuff normally however I recently bought the replacement wiper blades ( the whole bit ) and they didn`t fit my BF.

I piked it.. It was just too cold, even for Mr short shorts in minus 5 at work. I did look at it for a few mins..

I`ll be serious for a second, Steve-O- has been a huge help to me with my car. Put up with endless questions on MSN and at the drags. He was just as happy with my cars result as I am. Race? It will be interesting what I can achieve but the Bogan mobile flys. The ride home from the Winternationals proved that. Wish we were at Willowbank as I type this at 4:56am, its NINE friggin` degrees in my KITCHEN! Yowsah!

Awwwwwww, I thought it was a goer this saturday.. It`s going to be freezing too.

Earlier this year, I had Nizpro Injectors, Nizpro Valve Springs, Walbro Fuel Pump and a Tornado Brand Exhaust fitted at Elite Auto. Car was tuned to suit, it produced 310 rwkw. Week or so ago, I ran an 11.95 @ 114.91 mph. I still had the stock Typhoon cooler. Paul advised me when I walked into his shop some time ago, that he felt I would be better served by doing the above mods AND the Nizpro cooler and custom cross overs. I was still green to these cars, and the cost figures were more than I was used too. So, I went with what I did.. The car flew no question.. But due to the stock cooler, the tune was compromised by it.. I`ve been around cars long enough to know that. Okay, now it has the Nizpro cooler, the custom X over and also the cooler thermostat. You wouldn`t think that 14 and a half KW and 80 odd NM of torque would make that much difference but I`m here to tell you it sure as sh!t does. It will just bag those 245`s on the roll in second like your on wet grass on into 3rd gear. Unreal. But, its how NICE it is everywhere else.. Its just so sweet to drive all through the range. I asked Tim, Elite`s Tuner for a couple of specific things in the tune, and he nailed it perfectly. Not close, its exactly how I want it. How it should be. Now, after the first tune I had some issues with some aspects. Due to circumstances that prevailed, I couldn`t get the car back to Elite for them to be rectified. However, and its been 3 months, Paul has seen to it that these issues have been resolved. Paul is a businessman, no doubt about it.. You can tell he loves to do business. Yes indeed, he was trying to sell me the stage 1.5 Nizpro kit. It`s how he earns a living. But, the advice he gave me was sound. I AM happier with the total package than I was with 3/4`s of it. What I spent in total is between Paul and I. I beleive what I have now is worth what I paid. IF I can get my sh!t together on saturday night, I`ll have a little slip of paper that says so too. Trawling around youtube I came across a few vids of the Group A? I think, cars running the quarter at Adelaide grand prix. I think John Harvey did the best with a low 11.. Its worth searching for.. I was figuring on 11`s too. Prolly in full race spec, full tanks and longer gears, that`d be the case.. Was still great that it happened.. lol, I remember Teo Fabi doing the standing 400 in a turbo F1 car at Adelaide one year too, I recall it was in the 8`s.

Anyone had their ZF serviced, and by whom.. Or, perhaps done it themselves? tips? Be a swine of a task with out a hoist I`d wager.. Research and advice is telling me I need a fuild and fliter change.

Well, the bar work would prolly make up for the wieght of a real interior.. But, who of us sits on the limiter like that lol.. They`d have fiddled with stuffs for the quarter too, atleast gearing and crap I dunno..
