Plus 1 for Bilsteins. Mine made a huge improvement to my BF Typhoon, 40,000 klm and my stock shocks were clapped out. Even with the stock springs and bars, it became a different car alltogether.

I ordered my DBA 5000 rotors ( black hats ) and RB24 pads for my BF Typhoon yesterday lunchtime... I got home at 1:30pm to take my car to the smash repairer to have the final work done and I get told: " you got parcels " Wha?? I have stuff ordered but its ages away.. The brake parts arrived at my house at 10 am TODAY! 22 hours... Orsum. lol typically even if my car was here, I still wouldn`t be fitting it all up till the weekend. But great service and Advice. I`ll use them again no problem at all. Good prices too.

UPDATE! My repairer today advised me " it`s all here, mate " I`ll take it to them on Tuesday next week. I can only speculate as to how or why they have a front bar there and not the end of July like FPV told me on monday. Case closed.

My town has the highest prices ever.. Little wonder I either by online or elsewhere.

I`ve browsed the race brake site and I`m quite interested in their pads.. I`ll contact them next.

You`ll get no arguement from me that their pretty sobering prices.. But, its only 2 people I`ve called. We are talking Typhoon Brembo`s though.

I ranf Ricebarn at lunch, bit of a dopey Dora was givin` me info.. he told me $769 each for DBA 5000`s and couldn`t gimme a price on Bendix pads. Local Brake and Clutch place ( been dealin with them for decades ) Said: we got RDA`s mate, made in China.. 11 hundy a pair.. He has Green stuff ( I`m not keen, I used EBC pads on bikes and I know they leave something to be desired ) for 575 or something. I`ll do more research.. Price isn`t ever the only factor as far as I`m concerned. However I don`t wanna buy sh!t nor do I want to grossly over spend. Cheers for all feed back, Gents.

Cheers Steve.. Not surprisingly I have tired alternate plans. Fibreglass isn`t an option. These genuine bars are thin on the ground at the best of times. It`s insurance, and while I have a good ( great really ) rapport with my asessor and my repairer, they both need to be able to garrantee the repairs for life. They are both flexible to a degree and open to discussion. lol Mike the asessor knows what a devious bastard I am and the lengths I went to to try and nail down other options. We all want closure. They want it out of their hair, I want me car back to normal. Oh well, think of the klms its saving me.

There`s an article about him in the latest wheels. He said something like: I`m not going to retire at 30, but whether or not I`m still driveing a V8 SUpercar then ( or whatever ) is another thing.. He said he wouldn`t drive for the sake of it.. If he ticks all the boxes he wants too, why not move on.

Look, I shouldn`t have spit.. I KNEW it wasn`t happening. I had a missed call from FPV on friday. I thought: its here woot! Then I rang Metro Ford on saturday. " yeah mate one was dispatched from Melbourne earlier this week " Okay, why have`nt you got it? Its not going striaght to the repairer or is it? I ring FPV on monday knowing what I`m going to here.. If I was a betting man? I don`t think I`ll see it much before xmas.

Lol, when they sent me an email extolling the virtues of a new FPV, I fired one back saying it`d be the only way I`d get a new front bar. Meh, whats another month.. There`s no really garantee that the one that shows up next month will be mine anyway.. Seems there was ONE only shipped out last week.. Sigh..

My repairer sent 2 rear bars back till they got a good one.. Love to see more pics of that Deja vu phoon..

lol. last time I rang my assessor, it was late in the afternoon and think he was on his third or fourth Chvias Regal, we ended up yacking about Triumphs for 45 mins.. He`s been a big help, but its out of his hands. After 4 months... Sure I was pissed orf today, but now? Man I`m used to it now. I know better than to count on the ETA that I`ve been given.. Its just the missed call on friday from FPV, over the weekend I thought this could be it! Or, it could be another put off.. It was the latter.

His name was John. Top guy.. Buffy I agree. I`m as sour as a cut snake but in my spare moments at work I was ogling the sneak pics of the GTHO 351 FPV jobbie. I got FPV merchandise all over the shop here. Maybe they know I`d skol a gallon of rat piss before I bought another Holden.

LOL, I`m recalling the times I`ve rung FPV, Months ago I called them to ask wtf goes on, and the guy said ooooh it`d be a big help if you had the part number for the front `bar` thingy is it?? ( his words ) I`m like: mate youse made it, you don`t have access to the ford data base or what ever?? Ooooh no sir I`m sowwy.. I tracked down who the parts had been ordered through ( Metro Ford ) and got the numbers off the parts guy. I tried an FPV dealer in Vic, I forget their name but they got shops in Frankston and all over.. The parts guy was a legend and searched around and found a front bar complete in Rockhampton, I got pretty excited and rang them, no deal it`d been sold and not taken off the listings.. lol guy was pretty freaked out when I said: you got a Tyhoon bar there, sell it too me!!! I tried Ferntree Gully, they told me yep we can get you a new one easy peasy.. I hooked them up with the repairer but it fell through.. I`m guessing but maybe they turned up the one that I found that`d been sold in Rocky.. I`ve got a borrowed BA typhoon bar on there, its a shell, no grills, spotlights or the top bit. Not under trays etc.. I`m really gratefull for the loan of it ( thanks Steve, carn the blues!! ) But its a real bust.. It holds a number plate and that's about it. Cops are reeeeeeal interested in the car when they go the other way. So, I don`t drive it.. Okay I`ve snuck out the drags with it couple times but I`m done with that. After 4 months its irrelevant how the car came to be how it is. Yeah I shoulda been more carefull but sh!t happens.

Mate realistically all I can do is piss and moan and maybe kick the dog. They got me and they know it.

The repairer.. I felt for him. He had a lot of coin in my car and doesn`t get paid till its finished. When we got the last ETA I said look I can`t see the point in this car sitting here sucking up bog dust and getting driven 50 feet a day out of the shop.. Stick it on a tilt bed its coming home.. I got in touch with the Insurer and they agreed to pay him out for what he`d done so far. Its not just FPV stuff either, they waited a couple months for the wheel cover inner guard thing. that's just a Falcon piece. I`m fortunate its not my only car. If it wasn`t some kind of intricate part, or Chirst only knows what, but its not.. Its a big peice of plastic, made in Asia some where. lol, anymore big hearted comments get in before the lock

I have waited since the end of Febuary for a front bar. Got told ETA is the 26th of june.. I got told Easter, then May.. Had a missed call on friday, rang FPV today spent the usual 20 mins on hold in my lunch break, " Yes sir! We have a new ETA on your parts, its now the end of July. I went right off me tits.. I`ve been patient. But this is utter fvcking Bullsh!t. How can we not supply parts for some locally mass produced sh!tbox that's 2 yrs old? See my theory is, okay they had XXXX number of front bars made way back when. There were never going to be any more. they made cars with 95% of `em the remainder were the parts base.. The greedy thievin` pricks sold them.. Why wouldn`t they sell a bit of plastic they wouldn`t have 50 bucks in for 2 and a half grand? I don`t give a rats clacker if its slander. They ( Ford ) couldn`t care less. How the hell does it take 5 months to produce a plastic bumper? I ( and every one else who`s waiting and has a car in pieces they can`t drive ) am out of pocket.. I`m paying rego - insurance etc.. I got over 50K in some chunka I can`t use.. I`d love to get some kind of class action going but we all know how far that`d travel. If I ever met a senior Ford exec I`d sh!t in the cvnt`s mouth.

Kyle, if you did an 11.99 on street tyres mate God only knows what you`d have done on Mickey T`s. My best was 11.85 on my M/T`s and it really spun into second.. They should`nt really do that which tells me I got the last few runs out of them. The Territory rims they are fitted to don`t really help, I near cack my back bone out lifting them onto the hub.
