Old mate needs a velour cover like I put on first before my plasticy parachute one.. All you need is a breath of breeze and those doona`s and sheets are flying off a polished car and FAR ARRRRKIN! the swearing starts. Hail? well.. These cars are fairly robust. But if its grapefruit sized I doubt anything short of a mattress is going to save you.

I have a carport, its lattice on one side. There`s some random sh!t that falls out of the gap in the ceiling out there, dunno wtf it is but I don`t want it in my vent intake. I use 2 covers, a sexy velour type one and a parachute lookin one that's supposedly water proof. I used to have just the plastic one and I`d put sheets on the car before fitting but in was a pain in the arse speshly after polishing so I got the velour one. Now, I do not drive my car throught the week. lol I`ve not driven it for 2 weeks. So, fitting and refitting the covers ins`t too much bother. Obviously the car needs to be clean to fit them, so I need to factor that into planning. The covers work for me, I`ll pull them off tomo morning and the car is clean. Typically, never once have I seen cat footrpints on the cover..

Farks me, I would have thought saturday arvo - night would have been way better. More time to detail etc.. No probs for the hapless jokers who gotta work on saturdays.. They got it all back arsewards I tell ya`s.

Why are all car scene meets ( locally, Munchies, Harry`s diner etc ) on friday nights? Jeebers, Munchies?? you gotta be there before the sun sets or everyone is gorn! I don`t finish work out in the sticks till five at the moment, it was 6 pm for ages and will be again no doubt. I can`t get there in time. Quality is a bit all over the shop like a mad womans sh!t with those Maragoni`s. Mine are Okay, and will take a real pizzling compared to the OEM Dunlops. But they are no quiter. My old man bought a set of 4 of the bottom of the range Marangoni`s ( LOL!! they look like wheelbarrow tyres ) one had this dent in it. Like a big arse dent too. I said that's not right Pop. He took it back and they fed him this cock and bull story about storage marks and w/e . I said.. Well I said quite a bit and he went back and they gave him a newy. He reckons they are superb in the wet.. He had Dunlop Lemans on the thing for ages. Its a 13 inch wheel on an Astra. Are Marangoni`s okay? Yes.. Will I buy again? Prolly not. Just because a tyre shop says something, dun make it true..

Guys have told me to 'bend' the mounts. I presume they mean the clip mounts where you push the front bar onto. I`ve had a bit of success with big arse tek screws in the holes under the front number plate. Ya just hold the front bar up and whack `em in with the cordless drill. Has to be an ideal solution out there, surely.

That`d do it.. Pretty sure I was there that night last winter ? when this time was achieved. Stunning result from a well prepared and presented car.

Paul from Elite uses Mickey Thompson ET`s. However, the man can drive. He`s had lots of practice and knows how to launch a car. LOL the night I raced him, he was in the Elite VY SS and I was in my Typhoon. Paul nearly ripped the steering wheel off the SS on the launch. hahaha its still worth a giggle thinking back. Best I`ve done in my ZF car is 1.7 ish.. I know I could do better.
