  1. Is Jet still around? Chasing a set for my BA. Interested in his pricing if still available☺️ Didnt know this forum still existed, it's been a long while.
  2. If your not planning on ever going over 400rwkw,go out and buy an FG F6 short motor from Ford. A lot better bottomend than the BA one and comes complete. Just gotta get a gasket set and swap your head,manifolds,sump,timing cover etc etc form old engine to new. Other option is to pull the engine out,strip it all down and strengthen it with better rods and pistons. By the time you pay for rods,pistons,bearings,machining etc,you will be looking at more then what an FG F6 short will cost you,but will handle more power.
  3. Damn,its been a while and happy to say that my login still works Im looking at getting a SASS twin guage pod for my B series and just wanted to find out if anyone has used them. Also hunting down electric oil pressure and mechanical boost pressure gauges,in the Autometer cobalts. Anybody know if the mechanical boost guage fits in the SASS pod? As in is there enough room for the fittings on the back etc. I used to have 3 guage setup years ago,but sold them off. So getting some back in the car again. Any advice appreciated,cheers.

  6. Is there enough room to undo the front flange and swing the exhaust away from the chassis rail,then retighten?
  7. Oh ok,have you been back for them to sought it out? Im sure they can knock it on the head and sought it out for you.Mind you sometimes it can be hard to find the time to get it back to them,but better to get on top of it before something fails. Goodluck mate and with 550rwkw,cant wait to see what time you punch out after all the gremlins are gone.
  8. FPVPSI,his auto is absolutely perfect. Shifts and does everything you want it to,when you want it to. A real big load of respect goes to the job Tony did. Made a huge difference to how the car drives. Who built your trans?
  9. The Nizpro garnish doesnt run the rubber seal,but I did put the little rubbers on that sit on top of the coils. Yeah,once the garnish is off,theres 4 x 7mm bolts that hold the vct phaser seals on, 2 x T40 torx bolts at the front and I think 6 x 10mm bolts for the rest. Once you get all the bolts out,pry the phaser seals out gently and then push the rocker cover back,then up. Just be carefull when putting it back on,as the gasket can fall off at the back and piss out oil. Oh and where the timing cover meets the head,put a bit of sealant across the join.. You will see the sealant there anyway,so just clean off and apply some fresh stuff.
  10. Thanks Mika... Yeah,can make you one no probs. Just try get me some materials lol. The way I did it and materials I used was I <3 Bananas deadly haha.. The fumes from removing the sticky stuff were toxic. Pretty sure you can buy the stuff for bugger all from Bunnings.
  11. Thanks guys. Nah Pazz,it keeps pretty clean. Its been done for a few months and stays pretty good. Its 2 pac so I gave it a wax at the start so nothing sticks to it. I try wash the car every week so the engine gets a quick blow with compressed air at the same time.
  12. How is it known that the oil pump is cactus Keith? Not saying its not,but like Ratter said if it failed and that was what was causing the noises (no oil pressure) the light should of come on.. Faulty sender maybe,but extremely rare on these cars.
  13. Ended up rubbing back the letters and chucked an ecu cover on. Everytime I open the bonnet I see things I want to neaten up now.. Next is to get rid of the engine hooks and couple of other little things. When I can be bothered anyway.
  14. Yeah Henry,getting jumper leads on the battery is a prik...Especially in the dark. Feel like your playing that game "operation" as you slowly try to move the clamp on the battery without sparking anything..
  15. Genuine B series coils retail around the $80 mark ea... Dont know how they could give you a set of 6 for $165. Dont even think staff price is that cheap. Bit of a score or he knocked em off and sold them to you lol.
  16. The red hand flashes as a theft deterent so it's normal for it to flash when car is off. As for the horn and indicators going off,your remote is the problem. The panic alarm button is probably dicky and activating by itself.
  17. Don't think it will as the rocker cover is a different design on the FG and has different coils aswell.
  18. All bullsh*t aside,alot of fake gay talk goes on in here and its farkn useless garbage most of the time. Yeah its Vic chat but keep the gay talk for your private texts to eachother. I got nothing against gay people,especially hot gay ladies lol,as my male cousin is gay,yet he is a top bloke and wouldnt say any of the sh*t that gets said in here. All the "real" members hardly comment in here or arent members anymore as its got out of control. Yeah fair enough you dont want people talking bout street racing but what about all the other sh*t? I would much rather come to a local chat on a car forum to read about cars and the competition that's out there in vic,than read soooo many pages of bullsh*t! But yes,I still keep popping my head in,incase things have changed.

It blew flames on a straight at a race track and I didnt say anything about street racing....Who tha I <3 Bananas does that now days with all the hoon laws and sh*t anyway? Ohh hangon,Calder fees going up so probably a whole lot more will do it. Not me though and dammn sure not KV,as he drives his mums car. Farkn get off the grass and delete "remove" some of the *beep* talk that goes on in here before deleting peoples comments about others old cars. Fark.
  21. Yep,that's exactly right. Power can come with some disadvantages. Just how much the driver/owner is willing to except,comes down to personal preference. The car still did a 10.4,so power wise,its an animal.

  25. Wont say I hate E85 as hates a big word lol. Yes it produces good power with a good tune and yes I was a phonecall away from booking mine in to get done,but after driving a 430kw E85 tuned car,its not for me. Yes the power and response is bloody great,but that's not what its all about to everyone. Dont know what sought of E85 or Eflex everybody is running,but this car stinks when driving with the window down. So summer days with the Fam in the car are going to end up with complaints about the smell for me. Maybe a E85 tune for the drags and 98 for everyday,but couldnt drive on it everyday. So along with the cracking hoses,the diluting of the engine oil,the excessive condensation,the "possible" hidden effects on engines and fuel systems,the longer cold starts and the stink...it can stay in the bowsers and not in my car. Power isnt everything to me.
