  1. my ford sounds exactly the same on 8psi as it does on 17psi. just less power obviously. they are a huge motor and have no prob crackin gate real early in the rpm. mine is mounted off the housing though so it does crack easy.
  2. yeah the fg guides apparently are much tougher. hope u get it sorted mate should be an easy fix could have been much worse.

  4. that's awesome as the std pistons are stout as anyway. I hate forged piston slap. this is what I will do, do u have to press fit the gudgeon pins or are they circlips ?

  8. nah bonnet is fkn awesome, but I think the vents should be the other way. u will get a heap of water in when it rains

  10. maybe its something to do with the return line then ? either way u have a higher rail pressure now.
  11. sorry mate im not calling u stupid or anything but the rail pressure is going to increase with a bosch 044 at 14v. did you measure your rail pressure b4 and after the install ? if you did u 4 sure would have seen an increase. its not an adjustable fpr, so u cant wind down the fuel pressure to what it was b4. the pcm cant take out fuel if its running rich as its a rising rate.

  13. without an adjustable fpr, I dont see how you wouldnt need a retune ? an 044 is going to raise fuel pressure and without changing milliseconds on the injectors its gonna pop and run rich.
  14. yeah standard restrictor is 2mm and should be fine with a std gtr pump for street. but if u wanted to track it a bit im sure a 1.5mm would be a good move. still always put 6l of oil.
  15. yeah 32. its makin 322kw atm. was supposed to go back for a higher boost tune but its more than enough as is. its a gt35 single, 6boost mani etc. its funny how it looks the same as my ford but the turb is on the wrong side edit, and dont get an n1 pump mate. at the least get a new std gtr pump. n1 are about half the width of the stocker through the inner gear.
  16. forged pistons rods oil pump and collar etc. race bearings cometic h/g ti v/s + retainers. arp head and mains line bore and torque plated block. everythin acid bathed crack tested new welsh plugs etc. evrythin u could do to make it bulletproof on the street basically.

  18. if you do, make sure u put a 1.1mm head oil restrictor in and always fill with 6l of oil.
  19. yeah just the new specs out of interest. its good to check your valve guides, they can wear and also get brittle from age. check your oil pump too man, make sure its not cracked or anything.

    u got excellent mileage out of that motor lee man. new donk will be fresh and even better, and its gonna sound soooo dam angry with that 6boost. u will wonder how u ever done without it !!! lookin forward to updates mate

  24. would be a no brainer to have a parachute .... surely u think they would have 1.
