fark bad luck mate that really sux but rest assured if anyone can make your engine work its jon at plr. he built my rb26 and has sooooo much experience with basically every motor on the planet and has all the machinery under the sun. did anyone mention the head stud problems they suffer to him ? what were your rod bearing clearances ? 2 thou ?

u simply cannot compare an xr6t with an m3, its unfair. sure they are decent but nothing like a big turbo ford.

I know what u are talking about the delayed throttle is a characteristic of the fly by wire not as direct/snappy as a jap car cable. Have to remember they are a long stroke engine too not 2.5l but if its slower than a stock r33 something is very wrong.
