yeah nice one ^^. go with the arp's jon. my 26 is torqued up to 105 ft/lb and no dramas they are tough and used for mega tough builds. they also have plenty more space for higher torque.

that's a good idea but wouldnt it effect the tensioning of the bolt ? the washers are made of special moly so tension is even and accurate.

do arp make a head stud for the barra ?

if your car is manual, a big bov will help with lag between gear changes. I noticed a huge difference when I removed mine, after I got pinged :(

lifter or exhaust leak.

if your timing is off the chain has obviously skipped. and if your fuel reg is buggered, it would just circulate back to the tank. your injectors have to be buggered and all jammed wide open to let that much fuel in, and even then it cant get to the sump. are u sure there was not way too much oil in ? oil does smell fuelly when hot/old.

maybe it was overfuelling cos the timing was off ?? I think ratter is right, timing guides are becoming very common.

is the solenoid in backwards ? can happen easily as there are no arrows or signs.

yes the cams are very high lift in these !! that's why valve springs are such a weakness. not that this is your plroblem though, what car is it mate ? and manual or auto ? bad luck hope it gets fixed.
