I noticed this in my car yesterday.....today I go to work and the service manager comes out has a look takes a few pics and tells me ford wont cover that because its water damage from a seal or something . felt like telling him I didnt build the thing but was to busy trying to stay calm....on closer inspection my bootlid seems to also have rust right the way round the seem aswell I suppose that is also my fault . love the cars but christ the service is up the s$%t. I guess ill wait and see what they have to say. if anyone can steer me in the area of a dealer who might not try to just fob me off it would be great. im pretty sick of eln ford at tuggerah to be honest .

I would dare say time for a new clutch mate! sounds like the same thing mine was doing flaring(slipping) mine started not long after flash tuner was in. u will be stoked when u get a new clutch much better. cheers mat

how far will u be towing your bikes and how often....I have a gt forester and the xr is that much better to tow my jetski with especially out on the freeway and such. returns about 10.5 to 12l per100 when on cruise doing the speed limit which wiithout a doubt is using less than the forester does. I know it's not a wrx but pretty similar and if towing is going to be a fair part of the cars life I would buy an xr without a doubt. really cant picture a rexy even towing 2 bikes having enough torque to just pull in wat ever gear you like anyway that's another story. just my thoughts on the towing part.

I would think typhoon snorkel and an air filter. injectors/fuel pump and a flash tuner with a custom tune would seen you get that kind of power mate.
