Hey fellas Not sure what it is but im sometimes getting a ticking noise from the engine bay. Most of the time when it is at operating temperatures (I can hear it in drive thrus or when im stationary), it sometimes goes away then comes back. Ive raised the revs and the ticking is at the same frequency (ie. doesnt get faster or slower). The car is an '05 MKII XR6 Turbo Ute. Absolutley stock engine wise. Has 47,000kms on the clock. Ive owned it since 26,000kms and its been serviced every 5,000kms. Could it be the the valve springs? whats a tell tale sign? I want to take it to ford before warranty runs out but id like to see what fellow T owners have experienced. Cheers Ian

mine did something familiar but the engine light come on when it shuddered and carried on like a "cammed v8", took it too ford and they replaced the TPS (throttle position sensor), hasnt happened since

Hey guys Good forum first of all, heaps of helpful & intersting topics to be read!! Bought my baby a couple of weeks ago shes a 2005 BA MKII XR6 Turbo Ute in Silver. I love it to bits, shes the ultimate factory ride with power, looks and comfyness to boot! Did I tell you how much I love her? lol Took her for a ride in the mountains near maleny, kennelworth, nambour, mt mee, mt glorious over the long weekend, sports shift is absolultey the shizz!
