  1. Stagea are not economically. Used more petrol than my BA XR8. Check out the skyline forums, they have a Stagea section.
  2. I paid around $300 for the parts including having the old bushes removed and the new ones pressed in. I had to remove the control arms myself and take them to the suspension place. The change in driving was dramatic - so much more direct and no brake shudder (yet)!
  3. Update from my Friday tune: Car only made 271kw on the dyno so was a bit dissappointed given I achieved 293kw last time with less mods. Simon said the rollers on his dyno are no good causing a bit of wheel spin so I am going back to have the tune checked out and a new power run in two weeks when he gets the new rollers. THe car did pick up about 20kw from its first run so hopefully looking at over 300kw when it gets a proper run. Numbers are numbers, but on the road the car feels great with a very strong mid range. Might have to head down to Kwinana soon for a run.
  4. I am not going to do any more mods to this one. Will be sold early next year and repalced with an FG F6. Will be saving my modding dollars for the new one.
  5. I know. Trying to keep it standard looking though. Externally the only thing you can notice about the car is the silver intercooler and even that is a Ford part.
  6. Car is getting tuned at XFT today, fingers crossed for 300kw! Went 293kw last time and I have just added front dump pipe and better flowing cat, new fuel pump, fuel filter changer and f6 cooler.
  7. get the inner ones done at the same time if you havent already. I did all of mine at once so not certain of price.
  8. Just sell what you have and buy the factory turbo. Resale on a conversion would be crap and a lot of hassle to do the conversion is just not worth the effort when you can probably buy a modded factory turbo for less.
  9. Yep, ford is still doing free resprays. My 6 year old BF is getting done next week. Have been told there is no time limit on the shockwave problem and warranty fix.
  10. Repalacing the front bushes was one of the best things I did to my BF. So much tighter and the handling difference is amazing. My car had a 100k on the clock so probably more noticeable if your existing bushes are flogged out.
  11. THought I would mention my classifieds Swap advert if anyone hasnt seen it. Basically I bought a second hand full stainless steel Herrod quad tip system but I dont like quad tips. If anyone in perth wants some quad tips and has a nice single side exit to swap I would be interested. Alternatively I might just sell the cat back system and buy new one.
  12. Shockwave blue??! I thought everyone knew about the paint issue. Basically Ford used the wrong primer with this kind of paint meaning many cars suffered from peeling paint. THe paint just peels off leaving big patches of primer exposed. Initially ford did a lot of one of panel repairs but eventually they realised they should just repaint the whole car. This means windows and interior out and paint and primer removed. My car is about 9 months out of paint warranty but Ford know of the issue so timing is not that imporant. Anyway my 6 year old car should be like new again!
  13. HI Guys, I dont post too often but thought I would say hello in here. I have been driving a shockwave blue xr6t BF for the last two years. Just found out that Ford is going to full respray my car in the next two weeks so I am looking forward to having a shiny car again. Morgan
  14. I have a herrod stainless rear quad set up I may be selling if you are interested. I prefer the standard rear muffler so will probably only install the front and mid section.
  15. Do you have a boost sensor you want to sell/give to me. Dont really want to pay $150 for something that can be done for $2 with the right sized bolt.
  16. I ahve just bought a full stainless herrod system second hand. It is the front pipe with twin cats, centre section, and rear quad system. I dont really want to use the quad set u, so my question is can I just bolt up the front and centre sections? Does anyone know if they will bolt up to the standard system?
  17. Hi Guys, I just bought a second hand BF F6 intercooler and need to plug the hole where the boost sensor used to be mounted. I am having trouble finding the correct size bolt to do this. I have tried an M12 bolt but this isnt big enough. Does anyone know the exact size bolt I need or have any other suggestions? Thanks

    New Shoes

Looks nasty and not in a good way. Not sure what you are trying to acheive here. With the spolier removed it looks like you bought the base model and lost some hubcaps. Sorry to be negative but hope enough comments will make you change your mind.

    O2 Sensors

I bought one from the ebay guy for $69. Purchased one through my tuner at discount price of $189 so ebay is a bargain. My o2 change fixed the rough idle and stalling as well as improving economy by about 50km per tank. The problem was intermitten but slowly became more consisten. The black unburnt fuel spec marks on my bumper and very black exhaust were symptoms of the problem. Unfortunately mine has started doing this again after only 6 months on the new o2 sensor hence the reason for the recent ebay purchase.
  20. you will need some new coils to fix the missing problem - dealer will have to pay for this and should be an easy fix with parts in stock. Not sure about airbag but get them to it while they are doing the coils. Neither should be a problem that would stop you driving it.
  21. I have an 04/06 BF auto and achieved 295kw with a highflow cat (rapid $199?), injectors ($350), sct box ($700), F6 intake and K&N panel filter ($200). I think the cat was about $100 to fit. I was told that an intercooler would have allowed them to achieve a few more KW. I am looking to do dump pipe and V3 kit next. Good luck
  22. You just summaries the argument in one paragraph. No one thinks it is fair other than SCT and Herrods who get to sell you the new device.
  23. Did you pay by credit card by any chance? I always do as it give you more protection. DOFT are weak unless you have documented evidence. Grab the yellow pages and get a lawyer to write a nasty letter. Will cost you less than $500 and might be enough to let them know you are serious. Further legal action is probably a waste of time given the lack of paperwork but the letter is worth a try.
  24. $360 is far to cheap for DBA's but about right for RDA's.
  25. Are you serious?
