I agree with xrdose the dude was probably talking out his a$$ stockish XR8 unless you seriously fudged up the gear changes but you left it in auto.... I know how this feels excpet I got munched by a VE SS & R33 running 400hp last night (mates of mine, long story missed gears) it hurts the pride

Welcome mate! CV Performance I recommend and they can sort you out with everything for your needs from servicing to custom work to flash tunes and performance parts. Tyre wise maybe someone else can help or local tyre shop would be your best bet. You can buy tuners with generic tunes but your best bet is to buy one from a tuner of your choice and get a custom tune done, I dont recommend using the generic tunes, some people have bad stories some have good stories but dont run the risk mate!

Phew made it in on STOCK injectors thanks to CV Performance for all the work done! 304.4kw, 12psi, flash tuner, RAPID high flow cooler, hot side, cold side, 4in Intake, Nizpro valve springs, 3.5" metal cat, custom exhuast, CI twin plate Clutch & a nervous T5! Heaps of fun to drive now, cant wait for the 60ld DEKA's and custom surge then were off towards the 400kw mark! Ryan..

Andy I just made 304.4kw on 12psi using BA mk1 2003 with: Rapid systems high flow v3.5 kit (4in intake 3in cooler and pipes, hot & cold side, batt relocate) (2000) STOCK injectors and pump 3.5" metal cat and exhaust (1200) CI twin plate clutch for the T5 manual (700 mates rates) NIZPRO valve springs (245 + 550 install) Custom tune at CV performance (600) So for a little over your 5k budget I did it easily, but you can not go so over engineered witht the parts like I did, ie smaller exhaust off the shelf, smaller piping and intake etc Should be do able especially as you get trade discount on parts etc... Damm good turn out (way too many in BLUE haha) for a winter cruise. Spewing I had to pull out at the burg, split power steering hose, dropped all the fluid so no steering for me =( Next time will be much better!
