  1. I've also been to a few dealers to work out whether the XR6 turbo or XR8 is the go as Ive decided to buy an FG. Both have their pros and cons and I'm 95% on the T however I can't get a drive of either. Most dealers I went to have an XR8 but won't let you drive it. None have a turbo yet but say it's a couple of weeks away but probably won't let you drive it either. These sales people I deal with are a bunch of tossers, what is the point of having cars in the show room that you cannot drive. If I could drive any of these cars to get a feel for them and completely eliminate the XR8 from the equation I would sign up tomorrow. One of the places even had an XR8 on the nature strip I asked if he could get a trade plate so I could drive it and he said no but look inside and see what you think. THEY LOOK THE SAME AS THEY DID AT THE MOTOR SHOW AND EVERY OTHER XR6 IN THE LOT YOU IDIOT. By the way, I am not missing any teeth, I am nearly 30, I had my wife with me and we were both respectably dressed. The cars are not even prestige. Expensive Daewoo as a comparison when the VE was released had so many cars to test drive I just went for a look and got talked into driving one. Mazda let my wife & I take out the new model 6 when she was looking for a car by ourselves. Although I am partial to Ford I am sooo close to saying its all too hard, and I am sick of wasting my weekends to try to buy a car.
  2. As soon as I heard the name President Ford. I was not surprised, this is a common fix for this particular service department and you would not be the first to have this dealer fitted option. I wouldn't take my wheel barrow in there for a service. They are a bunch of legends. By the way if you have ever complained about a ticking noise from the LHF and it was fixed without replacing any parts, check for the same addition to your fuel purge solenoid which is found behind your LHF inner wheel plastic trim. And as queried in the above post, what was the cure for the rollover noise?
  3. Due to not owning a t I have never posted on this forum b4. I have been waiting for the FG to be released before updating my current ride and have been hoping that the FG would address the issues that I had with the BA/BF series that stopped me buying one even though I am a massive fan, especially of the modded ones . I checked out the FG XR6t at the melb motor show and was massively impressed. I now have renewed confidence with Ford as the car looks great and does not have a dodgy fitting plastic interior inside like its Expensive Daewoo rival. Looks even better in the metal than in the pics. Well done Ford and I will be signing up for a new XR6t as soon as I decide on a colour .
