  1. Where does the blow off valve go
  2. You'd be amazed at the number of rolling changes that happen, when they find a problem or come up with a better idea for production, they dont wait for the next model, they just do a mid model rolling change which usally nobody knows about till months later.
  3. The most reliabe info would definately come from spare parts as they always have to get the parts right, so if you damaged a rod they would give you the one that your car required based on compliance date. If they say that as of May you can only get one rod for 6T and F6 than that would be right. My guess would be with the Number of LPG falcons getting sold and the few rod failures that warranty would have seen, that it was cheaper to fit the stronger rods to all I6's and hence reduce the number of differences for production. The other thing is that alot of people want to fit LPG later on, so now the engine would be more user friendly. Also BF saw higher compression for emissions so maybe it a safty net here as well. Ford was told by a rod supplier origanally when BA first came out that the F6 rod was the one to use but ford insisted that it was an over kill and went with the ones we know go bang, it seams they are now agreeing that the rod was alittle light duty.
  4. So does anyone know if the BF XR6 Turbo and F6 Typhoon rods are the same or not. Maybe they were different when the BF first came out but now there the same. It might have been a rolling change which would make it hard to tell if your car had them or not. This is a very important topic to me as I have been looking at an XR6 or F6. We need hard evidence or a Ford Tec that knows first hand.
  5. I am buying some new mags for my BA Fairmont, Its Ice mint Silver and I am going 18". Here is the link to Tempe tyres site http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products.asp?...2FSilver%2FGold I am thinking the Zenetti Kaotik Shadow's 18x8.5 for $1299. I only want to spend $1299 so can only choose in this price range, please have a look and tell me what you think it only takes 5 minutes and I would appreciate the input.
  6. I work for a Expensive Daewoo dealer as a sales rep and we have seen two alloytec 175kw motors put rods threw the blocks, so you can get a bad one
  7. Just find out who the dealers use as you know they would have had a few done. Our dealer uses a local guy and there great
  8. Still think it is good value, its not that much more than an XR6T and it has bigger brakes, GT interior, GT body kit,18 inch wheels bigger intercooler ,stronger conrods, oil cooler, and its a FPV, you could upgrade to 350kw with standard cooler and with probably just a uni chip rods will handle way more than standard ones to
