Well as some of you already know, I wrote my BA xr6 turbo off last year. So the other month I bought a second hand 08 BF mkII xr6 turbo. After one week I thought I would take the car to BTA for a service on the 6 speed before I started the mods and found the head gasket had gone.. F my life part 1. After removing the head they noticed cylinder 5 was rooted and had a nice chunk taken out of it.. F my life part 2 lol All this while im still building my Mazda rx3. So after a lot of thought and disbelief that this was happening to me, I ended up leaving the car with BTA to replace the engine and do some work for me. They ended up finding a very low K g6et engine to throw in and start some mods. Heres a quick list of some of the modifications that where done: G6ET Engine Custom BTA intercooler kit ID1000 injectors Port and upgrade wastegate and actuator High flow fuel pump Custom CAI and battery relocation Paint the rocker cover black Trans service and tune High flow cat New spark plugs Custom catch can and breather system Xcal 3 and dyno tune The car made 390rwkw with a bit of valve float so they tuned it back down to 350rwkw which is more then enough for my daily/tow car for my mazda. More importantly I finally have a heater for my 4am work starts! haha anyway Im more then happy with the work, the power and the service. They are a great bunch of guys and really helped me out. I also took all the badges off today, I just think it looks a lot more cleaner Future plans? I will throw my old 20s on, lower it and just enjoy the car. Then when I get bored I will do the valve springs and bump the power back up lol

I should be getting the ford back today finally so I should still be in, no time or cash to lower it but so it will look pretty average haha just be good to get out and cruise

Damn man.. This is so wrong. I wouldn't want the cops to find them, I'd want to find them myself and show them how to really use that hammer. We just arrested a junkie for trying to break into cars here, people pay damn good money for their property and work hard for their cash, these low life's deserve no sympathy. Broken hands for sure. That's odd.. Does it come off the turbo and across the rocker cover or come of the cross over to the box? I'm going to be running a FG intake manifold and a bigger cooler kit so it might not work..

I'm sure you could if you wanted to make custom piping for it all but it won't just bolt on and hook up to your standard piping.. There are plenty of budget power options designed specifically for the BA/BF

What intake do you have bro? What kind of thing was he planning with them? I will have to ask ali about the turbo before I get them to port mine.. I usually either ran no BOV or my old mega sonic, either it was a real low tone lol maybe the 3inch into 4inch silicone had something to do with it..

Ah fair enough man, might have to talk to bta about it.. Really? When I had my 4inch Plazmaman intake it just sounded like a real low and slow flutter.. Definitely no high pitched dose like my old one

Anyone heading out to this? Some boys on the ausrotary forum are organizing a meet up at a location before this and cruzin in together to make a bit of an ''impact'' by showing up as a large group haha. If my rotors not ready I might take the ford out.. anyone else be keen??

Sorry bro, box is empty now. Was thinking about going with a .70 cover myself.. how much did it set you back? still in the air because if I do.. there goes any future dose pipe plans haha Obviously the jobs not done yet so I cant say much but they are a top bunch of guys and glad to hear a lot of positive words and see some quality cars come from their shop, cant wait to get it back. But yeah I'm sure once this is back and my Mazda is finished life and health will start turning around, and I can buzz and dose past my ex and her new boyfriend with my finger out the window with a smile on my face. (she HATED my cars)

Seeing as so many people to an interest in the thread I thought I would add a little update.. After a lot of thought, adding up pros and cons of different options and trying to work out a actual figure I have to spend and talking to the boys at BTA they offered me a 2011 G6E Turbo complete engine with 7000ks at a price I couldn't say no too.. So hopefully sometime real soon my engine will be ripped out, they can drop that in (with whatever modifications are needed) and add on whatever fast bits I can afford with a tune, hoping for a comfortable and reliable 350rwkw and be back on the road faster and stronger then it was :D I just wanna say a big thanks to the guys at BTA for helping me out and to everyone on here for their advice and offers of support and help, it means a lot. I will have to start another thread in the members rides section to keep the updates and pics flowing as it progresses.

Can you BYO model? Haha I have a hot chick friend covered in tattoos that I think would look great infront of my cars.. I'm sure she'd pose for a few others if anyone wanted, nothing slutty or derogative but, just a nice girl with nice cars

Again thanks for all the input guys, I have a pretty fair idea of everything I need.. Now I just need to work out a budget to work with, what I want from the car and go from there. Originally it was just for a daily and to tow my rx3 but now that this has happened I am tempted to build it right the first time Unlike I did with my BA and go for some descent power on a reliable engine, not praying everytime I put my foot down that something wont pop hahaha It's even harder when my rx3 is right at the end of a 2 year build and still needs a bit of cash injection too.. Ah well we will see how we go. Once again I can't thank you guys enough even just for the offer to help out, definitely don't get that on other automotive community forums haha definitely need to donate once this is sorted hopefully I can sell some of my parts and some guitars to help out

Geeze that does sound alright.. What else would I need with it? Still need to repair my head and head gasket right? I've found a full built FG engine at a pretty good price not much more then the f6 bottom end on its own.. And thanks for the offer guys but I wouldn't want or expect anyone's time.. Not only am I too unwell to really work on it nor do I have the space so I'll just fork for the labour.. But it's such an awesome thought that it was even bought up.. Great bunch of guys.

But yeah my health is still f*cked, they've bumped up the chemo and still pretty damn sick.. Also just found out my mrs is seeing a new guy so life is going pretty damn awesome for me right now.. So last week I bought a second hand BF MK2 from a private seller. Everything seemed perfect and it's been an awesome car. Took it in to get the box serviced before I started on some mods and it turns out it had a blown head gasket.. I was spewing and struggling to get the funds for it. Now I just found out that cylinder 5 is rooted and has a gash take out of it and is scored. I'm pretty much up sh*t creek and in absolute disbelief that this is happening to me. So what are some options I have to work with? Full rebuild? Replaced with reco engine? Machine the cylinder? Anyone been through this before? And idea on a rough price? I'm broke from buying the damn car and building my rx3 let alone having to do this now.. Who else knows what's wrong with the engine if it's this bad already..

Argents will still look sick, but it's been done a million times before. If you don't care awesome, but if your trying to build something that stands out from the crowd id find something different.. My 2 cents

I've never believed in ghosts.. Ever until a few months back at work. I'm a security guard and work night shifts. There's a lot of construction at my hospital so some of the older wards have been closed down. Anyway me and my mate (there's 4 guards on a night) when for a wander and wound up in one of these locked up wards that are being pulled apart. It was creepy, dark, quiet, looked like everyone dropped everything and left.. Still beds, chairs, books etc etc. as we walked past a room a shined my torch in and this old guy was sitting in one of the arm chairs and looked up at me I'm like wtf this guy must have wondered up from another ward? I said hold up, turned and called out to my mate, looked back and he wasn't in there.. I proceeded to sh*t myself and hitail it outta there lol later I asked him what the ward used to be, it was more or less where the really sick oldies went to pass away... O.0 I don't go up there anymore hahaha
