  1. Hi All, Just a quick one, anyone know if Territory turbos got the stronger Typhoon rods mid 2006 like the rest of the BF turbo range? Thanks, Justin.
  2. Hi there, Just after some help. I attempted to update my email address and I'm not sure what I've done, but after I received the activation email to the new address, I've clicked the link, but don't seem to be able to validate. Thanks, Justin.
  3. Hi All, I'm just wondering if anyone in Melbourne would like to swap their manual gearboot for mine? Mine's a blue leather one in excellent condition, I'm just wanting to swap it for a black leather one if anyone's interested. If it's easier than swapping gearboots around, I'm also happy to just swap the whole assembly with someone (ie gear stick, knob, boot and surround) as long as your gear knob is a 6 speed one, and it's all in the same sort of condition. Anyhow, here's a pic, let me know if you're interested! Thanks, Justin.
  4. Hi Guys, Wasn't quite sure where to post this, so I hope I've got the right area. I'll be heading out to the auctions over the next few weeks, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen what smashed/written off 6 speed manual BA/BF XR6 Turbos have been fetching of late. Really appreciate any feedback anyone's able to provide! Thanks, Justin.
  5. Sounds like you're enjoying it so far, good stuff! Probably best that you traded in the Commo if you didn't like it, nothing worse than being stuck in a POS you hate! Out of curiosity, how does the new Mazda 6 go against the old version? I borrowed one for a weekend a while ago, and although it was a nice car, I found it to be utterly gutless!
  6. Thanks mate! Yep, you should've done the exhaust so I don't have to now be doing it!!
  7. Agreed! Great to see such informative discussion between 2 competitors, good on you both for sharing!
  8. Guys, I think the speculation can stop. I really see no need to name names here.
  9. Definitely something I should do. Having said that, I get my car washed at a local hand wash place - $10 for a hand wash, dry and tyre shine. Probably not using the best products, but it's still got to be better than car lovers!
  10. Definitely good work! Sif you wouldn't thrash a rental. Rental trucks, vans, forklifts, cars - whatever, they all cop the same treatment from me!
  11. Exactly mate. I probably will give them another go sooner or later but I WILL remember! There will be no slander, there really is no point and at the end of the day, it's not fair for me to put out a story on a forum without them having the chance to defend themselves.
  12. The offender certainly is still there. Sorry, but I won't be naming them. Forgot to mention they also did a bit of minor damage to my car which they flat out denied! It's a pity though, as they have a good rep, and as they're VERY close to where I live, it'd be very handy to get my car worked on there. I now instead drive to a guy 45 minutes from me, simply because I know he's honest and does great work.
  13. Good point, but what did you allow for wall thickness?
  14. ! Thanks mate, that's the plan! I've already got a decent cat for it (pretty sure it's a 5" body) waiting in the shed, so I've just got to pull my finger out and get the exhaust done! Thanks mate - I think a 3" should be fine then. It's a standard low km AU2 bottom end in an EB. They're are a few people getting about with 300+ on standard AU bottom ends without trouble. I'd like to see close to this, and I'm pretty sure the combo is more than up to it. I won't push for more though until I sort out a gearbox!
  15. Good call mate! Senna, it's running a T04E, unsure of the exact specs though. I know that it should be ok for at least 300rwkw.
  16. No worries and thanks for the advice so far! It's an AU Falcon engine with a Snort stage 3 turbo kit on it. Currently running 210rwkw on 7psi and an overly rich tune. This is through a factory press bent exhaust, and as I want to do an exhaust next, I was just curious where a 3" will become a limitation.
  17. No worries, thanks! The enquiry was actually for another car, which is why I was more interested in the power limits of a 3"
  18. Who wouldn't?! Having said that, doesn't every rental all the way down to Prius's get thrashed?!
  19. Welcome mate, pretty awesome ride for an 18 year old!
  20. Yep, naturally mandrel is the way to go! Power goal isn't really known, I'd just like to go up in stages as I'm on a budget, and see what feels good!
  21. well, you're right mate! I just did the maths and got the following results: Surface area in square inches for each exhaust size: Twin 2.25 = 10.5 Single 3" = 7.1 Single 3.5" = 15.7 Single 4" = 24.6 Aside from getting higher quality mufflers, why would anyone upgrade to a 3" considering that the pipework itself is less restrictive in standard form? Note, I am only talking about the pipework, not mufflers. Thanks, Justin.
  22. Hi All, Just wondering at what sort of rwkw figure does a good 3" exhaust become a limitation? I'd like to stick to 3" for budget and ground clearance, but am just wondering where it will become a restriction? Thanks, Justin.
