  1. Yeah I'll try and take some pics. Plan on taking it to the drags, but they are very infrequent in SA, and I find they always clash with something else for me. I've got a mate that does a local hillclimb event which I might do for some fun. I went and watched last year, real mix of cars. Obviously a falcon isn't the ideal car for it, but it'll still be fun!
  2. Thanks for the love guys. No probs Jet, still loving the suspension! I got busy+sick on the weekend, didn't end up taking it for a decent drive till tonight. Wow! Its awesome. Although its 'only' 50kw more, Its better through the whole rev range. Doesn't feel as sluggish as before. Tune was great, turns out main tuner there owned a xr6t himself (although not anymore), and his passion for them was obvious when I picked it up. The front brake upgrade was also substantial, couldn't tell much in the city, but once I hit the hills it was obvious immediately. I'm wondering how much T3's and better pads at the rear would improve it. Over all loving it. Exhaust is a bit noisy for me, but it sounds good outside the car, non-car caring friends and family said it was louder than before, but not 18yo P-plater stupid loud, which is good. As I wanted car back for long weekend tuner couldn't fix the exhaust touching the bell housing before I picked it up, which is causing a bit of vibration, but its going back next week to finish that bit off which will hopefully shut it up a bit from within the cabin. Can't think of why else it would seem louder in cabin than outside! Heres the graph. Looks a lot better than my last one (lean) Luke/Ralph - 8th engine.... whoa... definitely something wrong there, you should seek help. Unsure if good mechanic or shrink required.
  3. MiKa, I took an FG for a spin a year or so back (before fixing the trans+turbo), but the change over cost was large, and was hard to justify. Decided to stick with what I knew, fix it up and make it better than ever Graham West is doing the work/tuning. They have a good rep in Adelaide (also known as adelaide performance engineers), know there way around a xr6t, but dont get mentioned much on here. I was going to do a fuel pump, but he said mine was going fine, unneeded at this stage. I think your right about the wastegate, will be talking to him about it when I pick it up. Not sure how much more power I need....famous last words....
  4. Thanks! I'll post the graph and report back later tonight. Will try and get a pic of the finished product as well, looks much sweeter sitting a bit lower. As you said the power should be improved across the range, looking forward to more down low. My first tune was lean, and power only came on late and sudden in the range
  5. Hey I've had my T for 6 years, its got 82k on the clock. 5 years stock, 1 year with a dyno tune (rebuilt trans+turbo at the time). Pulled 250 rwkw. Upgraded to 18" rims went with Yokohama advan a13's (great tyre btw). I had bilstein shocks and king springs (sl+ssl) put in a couple of months ago (Thanks Jet). Completely changed how I felt about the car. No longer felt like a heavy boat. Valve springs were giving in, and I felt the stopping power needed improving so had to do something...... Later this afternoon I'm picking it up, but I'm told its making 307rwkw, which I'm pretty happy with, the new mods are: * Full exhaust, 4" dump > 5" cat, 3.5" piping * plazmaman valve springs * siemens 1000 injectors * avo intercooler + piping * ba premium front calipers, t3 rotors Can't wait to pick it up! Not sure what I'm more excited for, the brakes or the power! Hoping the exhaust doesn't drone too much.... Pic attached is earlier this year, with new wheels/tyres, but before being lowered.
  6. Did you end up picking one, I'm in the market for one too. What ones should I stay away from? PM me if you dont want to say publicly.
  7. Woohoo!!!! Thanks for your input arronm. If you ever come to Adelaide I owe you a beer! I'll post back when fitted, waiting on a quote at the moment (for a range of things).
  8. Yeah johno that's the one. Yeah they seem ok everytime I go in there, but they didn't like my email asking if its the right calipers though. My email didnt accuse them or anything. Was a bit taken a back by their response, but then when I went in there same day, they were welcoming and friendly as usual. Guess things get lost in email translation. The new calipers look massive compared to stock, cant wait to get them on! The lack of braking is the most annoying thing for me at the moment.
  9. Heres some more pics, are they enough? The back isn't white like the photo makes it, flash fired, looks weird
  10. They each have a hose, about 30cm in length attached, is that it?
  11. All worked out well (I hope), I got these black ones. Need to be repainted, but the pads seem to fit, as do the discs. Not sure if I'll hunt down another ford decal to go on. Wrecker was friendly in person, must have been ticked off this morning about something else. Thanks again everyone for the info!
  12. HAHAHA, nah not yet. They were pretty good when I went to collect them, no complaints then. Would have expected a Ford only wrecker to not be fooled by calipers from one model being fitted on the other though... Will let you know how I go after. Thanks for the help identifying them!
  13. Ha, I wish, I doubt he'll reach in the till and give me money! I'll be happy just to have the right part. Someone else has indicated what I have is called the C4, "EF to AU Falcon and VP to VS HSV".
  14. Cool, that's what I expected to see, thanks. Unfortunately I didn't take the discs, I had no intention of using them. Lesson learnt.
  15. The wrecker is resisting a bit, saying if they were AU ones they would have been worth more, he wouldn't have sold them too me, and from his point of view, they did come off a BA, I saw them on there. However he will let me swap them so all is good. Has someone got a pic of exactly what the BA Premiums look like? Dont want to end up with something weird!
  16. Ahhhh, wonderful. Wrong calipers. Thanks I've already got the correct pads and discs, so I'll take the calipers back...
  17. Hey So this is what I ended up with. Problem is, I dont think something is right... (In case this is a stupid question, don't worry, I wasn't planning to fit these myself) I'm meant to have the PBR BA premium brakes, that take 325mm discs, matching qfm a1m pads, and matching t3 4000. I saw the calipers on a BA before the wrecker removed them, so if they are wrong, I have no idea what they are! * The pads are bigger than the existing ones in the calipers, I dont see how they could possibly fit. * The discs are fatter than the caliper spacing (the calipers look partly closed, but I'm not sure what they are meant to look like). Whats part is wrong, or am I missing something? Thanks.
  18. The ford logo I meant, not the yellow Emailed race brakes sydney, I'll see what comes back.
  19. Looks good, same as the stock ones as far as I can tell!
  20. Woohoo, shiny How'd you get the ford logo on there? Is that for a FG or a BA?
  21. Ah, ok, I'll check that out if I strike out. Thank
  22. Whoa, all the prices I come across are like 3500 for a kit. Whats the full name of 'cov'? Thanks
  23. I was going to replace discs to new dba t3s anyway. $700 is the cheapest at the moment, one lot is 750, and another at 800! The ones at 800 have been for sale for a while, that explains why. The 750 (red) and the 800 (black) are both at the same wrecker, which isnt too far from me. Maybe I'll go and haggle, only want the front calipers if the backs are the same as what I already have.
  24. Ahhh, thank you! That makes sense! I thought the red might be the aftermarket ones based on this article, but you never know if colour was just an 'option': http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&title=BA-Brake-Upgrade&A=2702
  25. Hi I've been thinking about retrofitting second hand premium brakes (with new discs and pads) to my ba mk2 with the next round of power mods. Looking around, I see they should be 325mm fronts, and the rears will be the same (any point swapping them over if they are the same?) However, some I see some have red calipers, with pbr logos, and see are black with a ford logo, all marked by wreckers and 'genuine ba premium brakes'...... Are they the same? Why the difference? Theres a set on ebay at the moment that are black with a fadded small pbr logo at the bottom, haven't seen anything like it before http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BA-BF-PBR-Brake-upgrade-factory-premium-brake-ford-falcon-fpv-/261418108923?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cddbbc7fb&_uhb=1 Thanks
