  1. Hi guys, I've just foudn the copies of my tyre purchases and it seems when I do the maths that I got 16,000kms out of a set of Marangonis. Better than my 10,000 estimate but is this still really bad? Should I go down the same path again? I was recommended to also try some Sumitomo brand. Are they any good? Cheers, Brett.
  2. I can mainly hear the sound coming from the rear right hand side of the car. that's not to say its not the other side as well, but that's where I'm hearing it. The swaybars are still factory and the only bushes I've had changed so far have been in the diff......
  3. I'm not all that conceraned about the price. Obviously not looking at very top end of the market. My problem is that I have got under 10,000 kms out of a set of Marangonis and lets be honsest that is pure rubbish. It makes it sound like I've been lighting up the rears, but these tryes have been mainly up front and have only just been moved back/rotated a few months back. Are Marangonis Mythos just a really soft compound compared to other tyres? On hot days I can see rocks from the bitumen melting into them....... I want a set of tyres to last some distance.
  4. I haven't seen it done, but there is definately no reason why you can't. I think honestly though it would depend on the colour of your car. White and black cars seem to look the best with black rims in my opinion.
  5. Hi, Recently I have been hearing my suspension creaking over bumps. I'm not sure if its the springs or the shockers but its the loudest on cold mornings. Is this normal or is it a sign of wear and tear? Note: I'm currently running SSL King Springs on all 4 corners. Cheers
  6. Hi Guys, I am just wanting some opinions on tyres for my BF XR6 with factory 18 inch rims. 245/40/18. I have previously run the Marangoni tyres which are great for grip, but I just can't get them to last very long...... I'm driving a 6 speed manaul and I'm not sure if tyre wear is reduced because of the gearbox. The auto guys dont seem to have as many problems with wear from general chat. I'm not doing burnouts or anything like that, but I frequently have to drive through the hills, so it seems the tyre wear is very even across the width of the tread. I was looking at some Toyos, but I'm just not sure what will last, but wont compromise grip too much. I really would love to go back to the Marangonis!!! Any opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
