  1. would it matter if I circulate this through the turbo? Or should I add a t piece and split the pipe?
  2. Hey guys, I have always wondered what is the purpose of the little hose which connects between both the heater hoses? I removed the hose a while ago, to circulate my water feed and water return for my turbo when I converted my car. Does this affect anything? Cheers
  3. thanks
  4. will a xr6 turbo 4spd auto bolt directly to my ba falcon n/a 4spd? Reason is that I found a bargain rebuilt box capable of handling 300rwkw +, and I need that to handle my turbo converted motor as my gearbox will fail shortly. Cheers
  5. Hey guys, I am about to install my xr6t map sensor to my turbo converted ba. Just a couple of questions. Where is the map sensor located and how do I get to it? I will be hard wiring the new sensor, is it true that the wires need to be mirrored? Cheers
  6. Hey I am just after the bayswater auto number Thanks
  7. hey guys, I recently turbo converted my n/a ba falcon. I re routed the heater bypass to supply my turbo for water. Everything is fine except that my heater takes upto 15-20 minutes of driving to start heating up. Then when I change back to the cool setting it still stays on the warm air. Did my water line re routing affect this?
  8. Hey guys, I took my car for a test drive straight after my turbo conversion without the heatshields on, I got some bad luck and a tranny cooler line blew off and the fluid spilt everywhere and caught on fire on the hot exhaust manifold. I ended up using the fire extinguisher, but now all that fire extinguisher dust is stuck on the manifold and wont come off with degreaser and high pressure cleaning. When I drive the dust starts cooking on the manifold and I need advice if its possible to wash off? cheers
  9. oh ok I will thanks for the help, but if pipes were cracked wouldnt I be losing boost? im still boosting normal to 4.5psi and not losing power? cheers
  10. hey guys, I recently bolted up a turbo setup to my ba falcon, so far its been running really good, the only thing I noticed now is that for some reason I started getting a loud air induction sound around 2000rpm just before it starts to boost and its not the spool sounds im talking about. I can't hear this sound in neutral though and I have checked my turbo for any symptons and it seems fine. Any help to what this is? Thanks
  11. hey, thanks, well its just been sitting open in the garage, the banjo bolts have been screwed in the whole in the turbo inlets though
  12. hey guys, im about to put in a turbo into my car, which has been sitting in my garage for the best part of 2 years, I got it 2nd hand but was still new then, will there be any issues that I should be worried about?
  13. hey guys, I need someone from Melbourne that is confident to tap and drill my engine sump to connect my factory turbo return line ASAP. I don't want to go to the mechanics as they are charging me from 300-400 on labour work to remove the sump, drill and put it back in. Cheers
  14. does the engine sump on a ba falcon contain a gasket? I am about to remove it to tap and drill it, but I am not sure if I need a new gasket or not... cheers
  15. hey guys, I need someone to recommend someone that can tap and drill my sump for my oil return line asap in melbourne cheers
  16. im after turbo heater pipes for BA falcon 4spd auto, and just me know asap and ill come pick them up, same with those heatshields that I already asked about before... thankss
  17. heyy, thanks anyways I already have bought a manual boost controller, so I will be using that to control boost instead of using the turbo loom, apart from that I might just run it off the dump and straight to an exhaust shop to get it connected to the rest of the exhaust.. do you also have the stock Heater Pipe Return and Heater Pipe Feed for a BA thanks
  18. and the breather hose for the air intake cross over lol
  19. I also need the steering shaft and engine mount heat shields
  20. with the dump pipe I only have the piece where it connects to the back of the turbo, its about 30cm in length and I have the rest missing after, so if any of yas can find me a 2nd hand complete dump pipe to the cat that would be good, apart from that I live in altona and im free this weekend, I do have car stands if it makes it any easier to drill the sump, but im not sure where I can take off the sump, anyways whats price are yas looking at? would which ever of yas prefer to me to travel to where you guys are located? also one more thing p4nic, are you also able to source me the Heater Pipe Return and Heater Pipe Feed for a BA otherwise I will need to tap in the heater hoses that run through the firewall thanks
  21. thanks and can u tell me what a reasonable price would be for urself... anyways I have the following parts.. factory turbo, dump pipe, manifold, cooler, crossover pipes, oil lines and water lines factory bolts, studs, washers, banjo bolts and gaskets turbo smart boost controller autometer boost gauge I also got a factory 2 bar map sensor and bigger injectors and fuel pump but I wont need those in untill the tune which I have a flash tuner one last thing I only need the front pipe that connects the dump off turbo to the cat, I havnt been able to source one yet. and are all the manifold bolts the same? are u also confident of tap and drllling my sump by the way? thanks
  22. Hey guys, is there anyone from melbourne who has successfully bolted on thier own turbo setup at home to there n/a ba falcon. If so would use mind to help me out doing mine as I'm pretty sure I can do it myself but im not confident as I have never done a major project like this. I don't wanna take it to mechanics as all of them seem to be rip offs for thier labour quotes. I have sourced every possible part and is ready to go. Thanks
  23. thanks for the update.. and what do you mean by the intake runner?
  24. not quite yet, I have been waiting for my mechanic since August and he still is busy. I would have changed to some other place by now but he quoted me a very cheap price and I know he will do a good job for me.
  25. Hey guys, how should I go about my insurance when my car is turbo converted? I am with RACV and have full insurance. Will it come under an aftermarket mod? If I use to change companies who should I go with? how much are others paying here? thanks
