  1. Thanks Kinggee, turns out you were right, the lights are not supposed to come on the way I have wired it up and the reasen I had no audio was because the speaker amp was set to high pass filter instead of low pass filter! 2 hours checking wiring and it all come down to a flick of two switches! The system sounds excellent now, it is obvious why the LC6i has a good reputation now! Thanks for your help sicklaser, I did not pull it apart hence the no lights on the main channel, no I think ill keep the LC6i.
  2. Hey guys, Im confused and frustrated! I am installing a whole system to my ute and seem to be having an issue with the LC6i. I am getting the power light on but nome of the connected to main channel lights! The earth is sanded back to metal and bolted to the floor along wiith the 4 channel amp ground lead, all speaker wires are directed into the unit in correct positions (I have checked that they are all working too by using the old ford speaker as a check), power is coming from the cigarette power with a 1 amp inline fuse. past this poing I am getting only rear speaker output, but evenb then shouldn't the 'connected to main channel" light be lit up on the rear speaker chanel on the LC6i? Any help would be much appriciated, I am driving to Kalgoorlie from Perth tomorrow and at the moment it is going to be a very quiet drive.......... f*ck!!!!!!!!!

  4. Hey mate, I heard about an LV truck accident not long ago, what site was this?
  5. So bjc how did yo go? Could you tell the difference between the standard speaker wire and the 16 gauge speaker wire you cabled in the other door? I am in between fitting a whole stereo and im considering utilizing the standard speaker wire from the crossover to the speaker. I have just realised how much of a pain in the ass it is! It took me ages to remove the ICC and break into the loom to re-route the speaker wires to my LC6i (extended the loom with same gauge wiring as standard) let alone run new 16 gauge speaker cable through the door rubber boot thing. I was considering running new 16 gauge from the crossover (will be uising 16 gauge from the amp too), but the fact I can't get the square rubber boot out to run the cable was making me crazy, though I want my new rockford fosgate splits at thier full potential. Can you really tell the difference when you replace the standard speaker wire or is it just peace of mind knowing its there??? 16 gauge seems like mega overkill for 1.5m of cable distance..... I hope Any help would be good I need to make a final decision before I start putting everything back together / re-roune new cable. Cheers
  6. Spotted this outside Perth diving Academy in Hillarys , Anyone here?
  7. Hey mate quick question, Is that speaker wire taped up at the bottom of the b pillar in the 10th photo the same type of cable you are using for the whole system? including tweeters? If so I think ill have to re-wire mine before I hook them up as I have wired in my new rear speakers with the same type of cable as the ford stuff, not the stuff in the wiring kit, I thought that was for subs.......... s**t.
  8. hahaha, I have read your whole thread now too PHANTM, I dont know how I missed it before too! Both are really helpfull!!!!!

  17. yeah real helpful mate, cheers I will be doing this soon on the audio install on my Ute, I am not looking foreward to trying to find the speaker wires behind the dash to wire in my adio control Lc6i though! Good stuff mate
  18. hahaha yeah that would have been damn embarrasing, it could have ended much worst than it did too, Yeah I doubt he will be in the v8's any time soon.
  19. Hey guys, I am currently buying everything for my stereo build in my Tornado and have decided to run an EOM processor instead of adding an aftermatket head unit. The one thing I am stuck on is the auxillary input quality and if there is a need for an aux input on the sound processor. At the moment I listen to all my tunes via my phone to the 3.5mm aux cable going into the factory head unit. Will the sound quality change much if I still run my tunes from here or am I better off buying a OEM sound processor with an auxillary 3.5mm input and run it through there thus bypassing the factory ford head unit? the processors I had in mind were these, the LC6i with no auxillary input AudioControl LC6i (GRAY LC6) (lc6-gray) Factory Sound Processors Factory Stereo (OEM) Integration Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix and the LC7 with an auxillary input AudioControl LC7 (Salmon Gray) (lc7-gray) Factory Sound Processors Factory Stereo (OEM) Integration Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix I am now running excellent quality amps and component and speakers so I don't want to sacrafice it all on running it through the standard deck 'IF' it makes it sound poo. Money isn't much of a difference between them I know, but I'd rather leave the aux plug where it is now if you know what I mean, any help is much appriciated guys
  20. www.onlinecarstereo.com Guys go off here and it will be as cheap as ebay given the US -> AUS dollar, I just bought my whole setup for the F6 stereo off here and its all secure payment too, its got buyer reviews n that too which help, plus its about a quater of the price of buying from a shop in australia
  21. Bloody excellent, This is just what I was after in terms of what sizes I can fir in my ute also, as 5 x 7 really limits you to brands and performance, Sweet as!
  22. im going through the very same dramas at the moment with my front bar, except the first time I got it back (after about 6 weeks) it was such a sh*t job with fibreglass resin on the mesh , overspray everywhere, and was not sanded back to smooth and felt /looked like sandpaper in areas! I wish I had taken photos of the job all the way through like JC 807 said, ill start doing it now too, Don't mean to hijack thread but I feel your pain. I feel like it will never look like a factory bumper ever again. "For f*cks sake that's your job, you spray car stuff, DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND YOU WONT HAVE ME COMING BACK TO GET YOU TO DO IT AGAIN! f*ck!!! "
  23. hahaha, you made me look twice on the engine bay shot, very subtle mate a very factory looking bay for sure, good stuff, good stuff mate, damn awesome power figures too!
  24. I am running 336rwkw on a 3" dump and I was having overboost issues so its no restriction at this level, Hope that helps
