*Rant On* So I call the repair centre today, they had told me friday last week, then tues/wed this week, now next week some time. I'm a bit pissed at this point being told there will be yet another delay...my 2 weeks of work hols end this week and no lovely car to enjoy. Now it was my fault of course for running up the back of someone, but that was on the 31st of last month. Took the insurance co a full week to give the go ahead on the repairs... I asked the repairer what the delay was, they inform me the assessor is now trying to cut back on the new parts which had already been agreed on and to reuse the damaged ones already in the car. NOT happy. It states here in the PDS that they will use new parts if replacements are required so I guess they get around it by trying to say the busted bits are fine >_> Repairer seems to be on the ball - they know I will bring it back if I find busted parts on the car, which will just waste more time. They wanna do a proper job but seems the insurer won't let them. Yeah another year and a few months until I hit 26, which RAC told me was their special cutoff. I'll let everyone know what the difference for me is when I FINALLY get the car back. Damn repairs.

I'm lazy and never went for a manual test, so legally I have to drive auto....but having the semi auto option really sorts it out. It's fun to drive like that, and far less prone to grinding and random gear changes in the wet that leave you sideways as you're merging onto the freeway (read about that one here). Plus dad has complained of the heavy clutch in his old GT in city traffic. I'm a child of the computer age so tech like turbo's and clutchless manual really appeal to me... <edit: spelling>

Dealer had the vinyl guys in to smooth over the 3 holes in the passenger side console on mine when I got it last month anyway Haven't had mine long but it's been great. Did the throttle body clean too and it was already quite shiny. 37K Km's on it at purchase.

Man this fills up quick. And nah the car was totally dead - I'd have thought electrical except the lights on the shifter were working fine? Tried park and N, key out, in and turn again...nothing. Hope the mechanic they reckoned they were gonna have to get in sorted it quick smart. Over two weeks without the car, what am I paying the RAC for???? Three without it by the time they think it'll be fixed. GRRRRRRR. When's the next foooly siiiik hektik wicked phatness cruise anyway :D
