  1. Yeah got done for that a few months ago. I knew it was illegal to have them on (only thanks to this forum). Tried to get a warning but he said no deal, so I had to cop it on the chin. Two other cars drove past while he was booking me both with foggies on. One didn't stop and the other he made sure he ran far enough across to the other side yelling to get their attention. His partner didn't seem too happy about a foglight stop...also a P plater with no lights on at 8pm was next to me at the lights an they didn't stop them :/ Must be because my car's much nicer than theirs :D
  2. Yeah I don't really see how it could drop power aside from air temp maybe, but the service manager said "oh definitely". Of course after reading enough threads on this forum I don't take their word for gospel...but my bum-o-meter is registering higher again. Maybe it's all in my mind!! Either way :D
  3. How about that, I found the exact same thing snapped in mine yesterday (felt like power was down a little) and took it back to the dealer who recently serviced it. They had an off the road turbo sitting there so swapped his crossover for mine while they order in the fitting!
  4. Spotted XRTURBO6 up on ramps, after throwing a rod I hear! I've spoken to the owner once or twice, dunno if you're on here too? Bad luck though mate!
  5. Update to my earlier post...they swapped the entire crossover for me with a 'spare' while they order the fitting in. Seems back to power now. Car goes in next week for minor rust repair so I'll get em to stick the proper bits back on then. PS what IS this pipe if it's not the PCV? At idle it sucks in air very slowly, a nice HISS when I took my finger off the end of the pipe (connected to engine) as it sucked in air. Feels fun again! Damn I need a tune though...empty wallet means no tune and also no cleaning job for you Dean, sorry mate
  6. Sounds good, add me to the list! Be keen to see your car again Ramon after drooling over it at BP Freo a while back and not realising you were a forum member hahaha! Maybe take me for a quick spin at a meet point
  7. I'm in Perth, Freo area, so if you know the spot take a guess who my closest dealer is... I won't outright name them unless they are a pain to get it fixed up quickly with. :( I hope this fixes my power loss!
  8. I thought it was the cranckcase ventilation? It's called the PCV in the maintenance thread, and I did find oil on the underside of the intake pipe, I assume spat there from the now disconnected hose sending oily gas from the engine? Cheers anyway, it's duct taped over, that's the best I can do for now. Looks like something you'd find on my first car the 87 XF! I'll let you know what happens. Oh and Dean you can clean the bay for me if it bothers you, it's my day off, I can drive to you hahaha! Catch you round.
  9. Hahaha Dean yeah it's dusty as, only realised just today. Can see all the handprints all over it from the service blokes. Hmmm hope it's as simple as this to get back the power I feel is lacking. Unless they flashed a crappier "updated" tune onto it. The car salesman said the car was "a bit faster than usual" when I bought it but I'm sure it was a flat out lie to get me to buy hahaha. Unless cops really DO flash the cars Hmmmm yeah non filtered air, better block it somehow. Good thing I haven't taken off yet. Any tips? don't want to stick something on there and find it GONE when I get to my destination!!
  10. WTF Okay sadly it's time for another "damn ford service" whinge. Car was serviced last week, 45k kms. Felt a bit smoother BUT slower than usual but I told myself it was just paranoid after reading all the other anti dealer service threads hahaha... Finally decide today to have a squiz under the bonnet, start checking for loose turbo bolts, move to the x-over and check all connections are tight...then notice a F****ING snapped off Positive Crankcase Ventilation pipe connection (cheers maintenance thread for helping me name it lol). Now I'm not a mechanic but I suspect this is important Guess I should have trusted my bum-o-meter earlier. Maybe it popped when they brought the avg fuel use up to 18 from 14 during the work Now a question: I assume this is a culprit for loss of power because of the hotter air mix being fed in? Or is there a more advanced reason? Could there be anything ELSE wrong with my baby? Anyway off to the dealer now to have a vent and get it fixed. Thanks in advance everyone.
  11. I was following this thread as mine has felt down on power too after a service. Finally trusted myself, checked and found this! How the fark did they manage to do this during the service... Thanks for the info on yours though bluesmuso, if it happens again I'll be back here quick!
  12. Nice purchase! I wish I had happened upon a MKII Upgrade when I was shopping last year, but oh well. Hooray for police sales! An already more modded than mine lol. If anything mine's gone BACKWARDS since the 45k service last week :/
  13. I'm sure the time online isn't accurate hahaha...my number surely can't be right! Even if it is I would rather be on here reading than watching most of the crap on free to air TV! Pay is a bit different I assume...
  14. Nice jibber jabber everyone, got some laughs at your expense Kael. Don't give in though! Spotted a few but been too lazy to post for a while. Don't worry Adrian, I'll get a pic of you sooner or later muahaha... Saw this speeding along without lights on the way to a crash. Undercover style, but too povvo for the STi it seems *cough* Phoon copped a canary! Dose? Or frayed seatbelts/low wiper fluid and a bad day perhaps. Lotus that I think I could beat (exhaust was almost falling off by the looks of it!): AM which I certainly could not beat: This bloke I see around loads on Canning Hwy. Love your work: A couple extras just to make the post even longer:
  15. LOL @ exploding pipes! Man I love this forum. Mental note: don't remove BOV once modding begins... Shame I missed the inspirational artwork, next time perhaps mate Anyone got a rough idea how much this would cost to fix? I think it was a falling branch, just my bloody luck. Car's going in for warranty rust removal next week so might ask them to quote me just for some laughs... It's above passenger windscreen, about 15cm long at a guess
  16. Hope that's painted tape over the FPV badge and not a coat of paint! Have you sorted it already mate? Nice ute, even before the respray
  17. Yeah I am still under normal new car warr but don't think I'll be going back there even to keep my "super extended" 5y extra warranty they harped on about when I bought... better to go to a tunehouse yeah? *Choke*
  18. Car is in for the 45k service today...felt a bit reamed when the bloke said about $500 for the job , then suggested a few other nice extras like injector and rail clean for one hundred and something, wheel align and balance for 50 odd etc... knocked him back on those, let's hope the BP Ultimate does what it claims with the injectors hahaha... what have others paid for the 45k service on their T's? Am I being lubed up by the service dept myself? Feels like it... All in all I'm wondering where my fuel money is coming from now. The next cruise isn't looking too good! Better fix the boot rust spot under warranty, f***ers... PS Dean, the old colour was better and that's why you aren't changing the pic
  19. No it's not! *cough* Deadly broke atm so not sure if I will make it along. See how we go. Good to see some new members will be there!
  20. Goran, we haven't really met but been on some cruises with you, sorry to see man, wish it was only as bad as mine the first time out of the gate! Condolences :(
  21. Can't say I agree with police baiting behaviour at all - didn't know they also drive taxies now, I'll be looking at the XR6 taxies closer out of curiosity! Seen a few cars about lately but too lazy to post. Same vented yellow bonnet XR6T I took a pic of was driving around Freo the other day, and spotted WOGBOYZ driving out of Freo. Oh and orange bodystriped on black (I think) T with TURBO written in the stripes on the sides parked up at some shops on Hampton Rd. *waves* In other news, who's ever been done for foglights? $100 and one demerit I discovered recently...
  22. Along the same lines, saw a new blue Impreza WRX zooming off in traffic and later attending the scene of an accident on North Lake Rd/ Leach. Undercover is always in fashion!
  23. Ah damn that would be awesome to spectate! Better they lose their license than me Were they headed towards Perth? Hahaha!
