  1. What if all you are good at is thread mining?
  2. Most efficient thread in at least a year!
  3. Pic is too small to see Upload original to www.imgur.com and post it here! Also Skids
  4. That last one is very true. "I can get a good deal on XYZ over at some other place" I always reply "That sounds like a good deal, you should do that" ...and move on with life!
  5. Hahah yeah it's a cordless drill, happy coincidence since I've been using it at work a little I decided to leave it in the car, and previously bought the adapter kit so it can take 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 inch sockets for faster home wheel removal/refit if servicing brakes etc. The new rims require a thin deep socket to remove the nuts so that lives in the car on a bar too, easy to swap over. Just missing the torque wrench from the wheel change kit now, not keen on leaving that in the boot to get hot/cold all the time.
  6. Not good news there Dave, hopefully they keep out of Racewars if that is the way things are heading. Modified cars cause few problems but are easy targets. It's dickhead drivers and unsafe condition vehicles that are the real threat, we should have roadworthy checks here (as annoying as that would be).
  7. Yesterday, but anyway Car suddenly started sliding out around a corner, can see it wiggle a bit before I caught it here on dashcam. The unrelated rumble before turning is the dodgy road surface on the right hand side, rumbling after corner is the tyre! ... Pulled over after the bend, gingerly... Swapped out to the stylishly mismatched spare on the side of the road. Very lucky a tyre shop was literally 1km away. Seems I had a nice hole in the tyre I didn't know about! Flat, overheating tyre = no integrity = unexpected drift competition. Annoyed I didn't feel it...but glad the Advan rim was unaffected! Cleaned it and looked for damage, all good. High profile 245/45/17 FTW. Tiny bit of rash but I've copped worse from the narrow roads I'm having to park on at work now.
  8. Think Adrian got a 58.xx in his silver Tornado didn't he? Long time ago now, think that was short track? Could have been long track since his was modded though, would expect it to outperform the your stock FG XR8 time!
  9. Congestion on the NBN is a big thing it seems, I keep reading about it happening on forums. Each house now able to smash at least five times as much data per second is showing bottlenecks in the ISP networks when all the torrents and HD videos happen in the evening. Sometimes changing ISPs helps people but it's a crapshoot. Pretty disappointing.
  10. Remove the non functional spoiler, less weight/wind resistance...but mainly so it will look even more like a normal XT is hanging with Skylines hahaha
  11. Yep more of a worry is the external bodywork. I'm lucky my other half isn't keen on driving with a trailer on and so I never have to worry about her crumpling the rear quarters...does mean I have to drive every time we need to tow something though! She can also drive it fine normally - 320rwkw and automatic. I guess you would want to point out she should not panic and stomp on the pedal in an emergency though unless you've let her give it WOT in safe surroundings a few times, just so she knows what to expect. If she's only ever driven Camrys etc it might scare her (even stock). Funny how even modding to hugely increased power the feeling becomes normal after a while for us regular drivers though.
  12. Wrong :( They all do it. BF onwards. Well, BTRs would also do it from what I've read but were fixable after the fact, I think. I chose to have my mechanic fit a PWR replacement exchanger with optional braided hoses, this seems to be the kit on their eBay store. $900. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PWR-Ford-Falcon-BF-FG-6-Speed-ZF-Auto-Transmission-Oil-Cooler-Kit-Heat-Exchanger-/321934783671

    300 kmph

That APS run on a salt flat or whatever was like a few kms long wasn't it? Very impressive the cars that can top 300km/h over only 1000m.
  14. HC800s and clean the wheels regularly, probably need to replace rotors faster too, but I found them to be great on all but ice cold stops. Bite harder than NS400 but I like the ultra low levels of dust from the NS400s and decent stopping ability.
  15. I've got at least one solid technico mount around at home yeah, not sure if I have a pair though. Also not home until the weekend but will have a gander then if you like?
  16. I'm keen to go for a PB run in cold dry weather, so yeah if it's cold and dry I will probably be there!
  17. That's the joke ayyyyyyyyyyy I stopped using them. or I stopped, using them.
  18. I re-read my own comment in his voice, satisfying.
  19. Audioslave <3 Listening to someone's best of Chris Cornell playlist on the tubes and this Billie Jean cover popped up, very good and changed it right up! Scream in live acoustic is great too
