  2. Yep, XR6/8, XR6 Turbo or FPV, they are all 8 inch unless the special R-Spec 9 inch wide version. Nine inch rears includes the FG-X XR6T and XR8 plus Sprint as well since they get the R-Spec parts included IIRC
  3. Not sure that would be wise, that's too wide for an 8" rim - shops normally stop at a 255 or even 245 I think. People might run 275 wide slicks on a stock rim though from memory, just for down at the drags?
  4. hahahahahahahahaha
  5. Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark that
  6. Tar remover should dissolve them nicely, if that's what they are. I have hundreds on my car. Probably a few thousand. Mainly below the rubber strips and on the rear. Bug guts go on the front and mirror scalps
  7. Happened upon this facebook group and there are a few gems in there
  8. Am working the Xmas period except public holidays. I will not likely be seen here.
  9. Nah but I do take behind shots of them in deli's across from work when I find a pair of female officers in their early 20's wearing tight jeans and send them to a few lads. Probably.
  10. +1 on IMS diff hat upgrade. Wish it was on sale 8 years ago!
  11. I enjoy overtaking the police cars (on dual lane roads) that everyone else is afraid to. They usually sit 5 under the limit. However I never turn to look at them while driving as that would be taking my attention away from the road and inviting a stoppage hahaha. I also don't drive with one arm locked straight on top of the wheel and my seat reclined to 45°. I actually rarely look at other drivers anyway unless they are coming the other way or they have a sweet ride and I'm giving them a beep and thumbs up!
  12. Yeah was gonna say it must be super efficient to keep it cold even when switched off :D
  13. Yeah...you give bad ones. I want my $3.50 back.
  14. If it has power I'll flog it around. Needs to be kinda gutless. This goes with saving fuel as well, need fuel to make power
  15. I thought that was commented on before, that there's a spike in resistance as it first heats up? I do recall reading ages ago that just the resistor does the trick though so I was surprised to read about it not working - maybe just wrong rating?
  16. Nice thinking. Leaving them wired in but not visible is the sort of solution I'd probably end up with. Just make sure they can't light anything on fire as they do get hot!
  17. I've spent like $5k in repair bills lately...would have been noticeably less if I'd just opted to replace any non upgraded rear bushes while the rear was out for the diff hat install and front lower control arms (ball joint died) while they were fixing the slow oil weep from the timing cover/sump, but there you go. I need something that handles like arse and has cheap tyres on it so I don't enjoy abusing it, or is very light so doesn't wear out as much!
  18. I'm the opposite - I have a decent XR6T (BFII) and am starting to look for a daily. It will at best break even money wise (fuel and repair savings on XR6T vs running costs and extra rego of daily - this is ignoring purchase price of course), mainly I need it so that if something does blow up on the fun car, it can sit in the garage for a while and not cause a panic (I need to drive for work). Good luck with the search!
  19. Install aftermarket head unit with aux input Works an astounding 100% of the time, every time, in my experience
  20. Torch
  21. Not a bad plan, also extends the holiday down there!
  22. This is hell interesting, what a frog
  23. Update - missus loves the improved cornering as well hahaha It's cool and a bit weird being able to stay fully upright with barely any effort while steering it around a corner rapidly. Leaves you free to concentrate on steering and throttle instead of fighting the seat. Good stuff.
  24. ...off the side of a V8! hahaha
