  1. Logical suggestion I've had is rubber tyre is squishy and was pressing against it as it rotated. Noise happened as wheel turned to the same spot each time so I'd agree! I was sure the wheels were deforming hahaha
  2. Ah well that depends on who is in the group... If I'm in it, I'll tell you where the noise is coming from very rapidly Since you seem to have missed the pics earlier, here they are again hahaha. Make sure imgur isn't blocked where you are...
  3. Galvsport are in ossie park and know RB engines very very well but have done a bit of work on my Falcon. They are mainly an import shop but they do advertise servicing (on R35s hahaha), you could still try calling them and see what they say though.
  4. THAT'S MAAAAAAD AYYYYYY
  5. I'm an ordained minister and can legally marry people in the state of California. I should open a shop and call myself Reverend Revhead. Rev Rev for short.
  6. I am actually TRYING to make myself conserve the car until Racewars comes around. Can't afford any more repairs between now and then! Will suck having to buy new tyres as it is...
  7. yo
  8. DUMP IT AT THE DIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
  9. Yeah too hot for fun day driving
  10. Quit toying around Marco.
  11. And I think I beat him to the 400m mark during our roll on hahaha Spinning ain't winning!
  12. Ooh sounds good, when is it???
  13. I've got next week off...but it's going to suck because we have to sand off water based sealant from lounge/dining and entry hallway, then reseal it again with oil based, then maybe even actually paint it at last :/ FU bad advice Bunnings worker.
  14. Also let's recall the first year WINNER, a car tuned by XFT: 1000m (by top speed) # Top Speed (km/h) E/T (s) Vehicle Driver/Owner 1 275.51 21.083 2007 FPV F6 Typhoon Tony Locatori IIRC it had about 600rwkw at the time, and it's a ZF auto.
  15. Just watch out they don't try to get some revenge on your house since they think you got revenge on them for the car. Keep that CCTV working and cover all angles on all sides!
  16. If I ever stuffed up a lap in Need for Speed 3 that would be my M.O. hahaha. Or drive backwards and aim for the biggest head on crash I could manage, before restarting the race!
  17. Yeah that's often the case with new versions of DirectX, some extra effects that are subtle and kind of nice but not usually a huge impact and worth the performance hit. I know the older cards can do 12, see the image I posted comparing the performance! They also said for VR they don't strongly recommend the 1080 over the 980Ti, it's a little nicer with current games in some cases but not much. Devs would need to start coding for the unique VR specific features in the new series for it to shine, but that hasn't happened yet. Full article here http://www.roadtovr.com/nvidia-gtx-1080-benchmark-review-performance-head-to-head-against-the-980ti/
  18. I was surprised to read the 980Ti is only 5 to 10% less than a 1080 so I had a quick google and it didn't seem that close to me? Overclocking is mostly a moot point because you can overclock the new one as well. If you already had one and SLI was worth it then it would be great though I agree. New games (DX12) the 1080 walks all over the older generation, that's something else to look out for though I don't know what the advantage is visually to the user: DX11 DX12
  19. That DNS change can introduce big delays in pages loading, just be aware of that if you wonder why you are staring at blank pages for ages hahaha
  20. A quick google tells me dual gaming video cards have been around for 18 years (Voodoo 2), I say if support was going to become commonplace it would have by now! Pretty sure I've said it before but dual cards don't make much sense to most people these days. Too much power usage, lost space and heat generation. The only reason I'd go dual cards is if I had bulk spare coin and wanted to have bragging rights over the highest FPS in benchmarks. Real world use, buy a single GTX1080 for $850 and be done with it! Paying for two cards gives a poor ROI. Having said that, seeing a top tier dual card set up with fruit like water cooling and massive overclocks iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis cool.
  21. Will reduce sound of burnouts from inside car Dislike
  22. Big sale on, check it out. Ends Jan 2nd. Could use a few things mentioned here...
  23. It always ends...when your wallet looks like this ...it's just a temporary situation hahaha
  24. Yeah that's the funny thing and hard to be sure about. Some tyres poke out more than others despite being the same "size". Plus I found this interesting...it seems obvious when it's pointed out but even tread pattern counts. Reading an article about the Sprints - the Sprint series XRs run 10mm NARROWER tyres than the standard FG-X XR8 but it has slightly MORE contact area! http://www.carsguide.com.au/car-reviews/2016-fg-x-ford-falcon-xr6-sprint-and-xr8-sprint-review-first-drive-video-40249 Just goes to show it's mainly down to tyre choice (construction, softness and tread pattern), size can be secondary. Can't just get slicks though, if you want grip in wet conditions though you need grooves hahaha. Always a trade off.
