Can someone suggest any places in QLD the at I can get a smooth decent looking hard lid to suit a BA MKII ute please??

Sound like a good idea. Those with 20s can do it if they are game I have done it a few times, I travel the "beef road" from Dingo to Middlemount on regular basis with 20s and the "razorback" road from mount morgan to bilo is not as bad. The Settlers is a decent pub for Bilo, I stayed there for 3 months with work, not a bad feed either. I will attend this cruise work permitting. Cheers Jacob

Running a K&N pod just under the pass side headlight. I haven`t cleaned the throttle body yet but will do tomorrow. Car only has 45k on the clock.

I am looking for a decent tattoo shop in either Brisbane or on the Gold Coast that won`t stuff me around and is will to touch up someone elses work then add to it. It tribal by the way so it would have to be a tattooer that is will to do tribal without complaining how crap tribal tattoos are. I hev been stuffed around for the last time with my local guys. I am currently waiting on my flash tuner with generics to arrive, so in the mean time I though I would prepare for it. So far I have gapped the plugs to 0.8 mm and fitted a lower temp high flow thermostat and cleaned the boost solenoid. Trans cooler will go on next week. Is there any thing else I should do except wait for the goodness to arrive??? I will be getting the AFRs checked the day it arrives to.

Where abouts are you located. I should be able to point you in the direction of decent bag shop.

One of my mates is an Air con installer and service person. Recommends inverters most of the time. He has just upgraded the crap cheap air cons I had with some panasonic inverter split systems. They are som much quieter I can`t hear them operating outside and I am no pro energy ratings but the tag that came with it had 5 star rating on heating and cooling.

What is the biggest width rim you can fit under the back of a ute?? I have 20 x 8.5 atm and they are just useless in the wet, I know that being 20s doesn`t really help the cause at all but will 10s fit under the rear???

Good sticky. Just had mine replaced at FRAUD, told them to look for the knock not to fix it. They are put it through as wty for me though.

I have developed a knock in the frond end recently so I booked the T in Fraud to get it sorted and my headlight full of water. It got looked at today and I was expected to be told that it was the steering rack, BUT to my surprise they had to replace the front sway bar links. One had snapped and the other was bent. Problem is all gone now. I have had a look at my front brake calipers though and when you grab them with your hand they move quite freely on the pins approx 1mm aither way is this normal or is it on its way to developing another knock under braking???

Hi guys just wondering if any of you have changed your valve springs yourself?? I ahve all the tool that I think I need e.g. modified spark plug with air line to keep cyl pressure, valve spring compressor etc etc. I am fairly handy with tools when I need to be. Isit as simple as doing a x flow or Expensive Daewoo red motor or is it more of a PIA to do? I have not taken the valve cover off yet had a look. Cheers

Springs are Kings super lows. I dealt directly with kings and they told me the heights for each set before I ordered and it worked out cheaper than ordering through places like Ripco, Autoharm and Autoho etc etc. They delivered to my door within 2 days aswell. Hey, Just lowered my mk11 ba ute with new king springs last week, I have had no problems until now. I performed a rather forcefull u-turn yesterday which made my ute spin round more than it should of and continue travelling backkwards with the tyres still spinning. Done this previously before in other cars. I now have a knocking noise at speeds between 10kmph and 60kmph while only turning left. Any one know what this could be and what issuse are therer with ute diffs?? Are they problematic??

All good now. Wheel alignment is done and all is better except for my camber, seems I need to invest in front camber kits. Any recommendations??
