  1. Sounds like the best way! $160 is good value
  2. Can't see any issues... Maybe put the rear up on stands (wheels off the ground) Start the car and put her in gear, jump under and loosen the centre bearing mount bolts (while the shaft is spinning) And then do them up again, it will help true the bearing and rubber if it is distorted I doubt it's your problem, but I was told to do the same when I put my new tailshaft in Also... Does it vibrate at 60kph in any gear ?
  3. Did you put the donut on the gearbox in the same spot ? What condition is it in ?
  4. Here is the pics... Little bit easier Gunna, check out the mains and big ends Need to find out if it's hard oil starvation
  5. That is very strange, my centre bearing is full of some hard goo, and it's all good
  6. Don't send it back if your not going to get it all back... Put it back together and try sell it off for the same price you paid
  7. Obviously I can't help on the SA bit But I got my Tailshaft done for $750 Gearbox Yoke was the only thing kept, everything else new and bigger, except the cv got a rebuild [emoji106] Also tailshaft man said that there is two different ZF output yokes, some slide in and some are bolted If yours slides in, it has to be balanced with the shaft and the donut Bolted in ones are balanced at factory
  8. That'll be it... Everything needs to go back into the same spot, and sometimes there is washers between the body and centre bearing mount
  9. Oh rightio! Understand the Comp test then... Sounds like your winding your self up a bit and all our opinions (myself included) can send your head all over the shop Just wait until the engine builder with a good set of eyes and good engine knowledge has a look at it Don't stress to much your doing a full rebuild anyways [emoji108]
  10. We need pics! Have you pulled any big end caps or main caps off yet? Or a Compression test before the head came off ?
  11. Sounds like the donor car rolled... And motor still running on its side or roof A motor with 6k should look brand spanking inside Did you pay the guy through paypal ?
  12. Sorry to hear... Condolences to your family
  13. The filter is a cylinder... A screw driver will always go through the middle You got this far, just pull it out and have a look Here is a pic The mesh filter is around the inside of this fitting, it only filters the oil coming out the small holes in the middle
  14. Here is some pics of hardening failure... These are bad worn cams, I'm not saying ours don't get like this but there is a big difference between a few lines on it that look bad and an actual cam lobe failure NOTE- this are Google images, not ford cams!
  15. Yep As long as chunks are not coming out of them it is normal marking
