G'day All I have a BF XR6 Sedan 2006. Recently I have purchased the AdvanSport Yokohama tyres but I am not looking to spend nearly $300.00 for tyres anymore. Can anyone recommend a good cheap allround trye for 235/45/17?

85,000 km Built in November 2005 and Registered in May 2006. I bought the car with 20,000km.

Yes it did crank over a couple times and then nothing .... then I noticed the burning smell. Should I take my car to a auto electrician or take it to ford?

Cranked it over for 20 seconds .... It's the 2nd time I have noticed the burning smell. Should I take my car to the local auto electrician then take my car to ford?

G'day Team XR6, I am having problems with my BF XR6 not starting first go which has been happening for the past couple months. Just went to the shops and come back 30 mins later and the car would not start. When I was trying to start the car a burning smell was coming from the motor. RACQ come out and the voltage on my battery was 12.4 volts. RACQ put jumper leads on and the car still would not start, then RACQ started their car up and my car started. My Battery is 18 months old. This problem has occurred from time to time even during warranty period and FORD could not find a problem. Can anyone assist in diagnosing what the problem is with my car? Your help would be much appreciated Marc

Hi Thanks so much for your prompt reply. I just hope Ford don't play games when I ask for my Lower Control Arm Bushes and Upper Inner Control Arm Bushes to be replaced under warranty. Do you think I will get much arguement from Ford?

G'day Ford Community, I have a Ford XR6 BF 2005 Model but registered in May of 2006. I have just replaced my 2 front tyres with Yokohama Advan Sport and asked for a Wheel alignment at the same time. I picked up my car and the guy I spoke too said they did not do a wheel alignment due to excessive play in the Lower Control Arm Bushes and Upper Inner Control arm Bushes. Is this a know problem and would this be covered by warranty? Be great if anyone can assist in helping me! Marc
