Hey all, Ive been lurking here for a while, disappeared recently because we've just bought a house and running around like a headless chicken trying to sort things out doesnt leave much time for anything else. Unfortunately, just when the Ute would come in handy for us, this thing has popped up :( Now onto the problem: I have a set of XForce gauges installed, so I can monitor oil temp + pressure, and boost. Recently started my car, let it warm up etc, drove towards the highway, engine/oil all warmed up and nice. Put my foot down as I turned onto the highway, felt like I was in 3rd gear starting off, and then the thing coughed and spluttered; Mrs nearly went through the windscreen; all power just disappeared and I managed to part limp/part jump it to the side of the road, where it was still just bouncing around. The ETC (Engine Throttle Control) light was on, and stayed on. Anyway, I turned off the car, let it sit for 30 seconds or so, then restarted it. No errors, no warning lights. Gave it a few small blips with the throttle, still nothing. So I pulled back onto the highway, all is well apparently. And I would have though nothing of it. Except it felt just a little bit sluggish. I kept an eye on the boost guage, and now I am not boosting beyond 2.5 PSI. Usually it will wind up to 4 or a bit higher, but now it stops at 2.5 like it hits a wall. Power feels down, although it still goes ok. And the feel of boost has almost disappeared. Now onto the car: Oct 07 XR6 Turbo Ute - Manual (First Owner, ~17,000 kms - mostly highway) No mods except for an XForce tripod gauge set (Oil temp, Oil press, Boost) which was installed by RDP I checked the hoses for the boost gauge, thinking it might have opened a little (but I do doubt this as the T peice of the gauge is quite long still and fitting seemed ok). I have bought and installed some metal clamps for it nonetheless. And I still get the error. Ive searched the forums, and cant really see anything similiar to this; or Ive used the wrong search keywords! If its something obvious I do apologise. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this?
