Found the thingy on the website link to page scroll down about 75% and the towing capacitys are listed http://www.ford.com.au/servlet/ContentServ...4&c=DFYPage note: note 84 is only with load levelers and the trans cooler kit fitted just for arguments sake the FG turbo manual ute towing capacity has been rasied to 1600kg's must get a better clutch than the previous ones also check the bottom of that page linked it has the explinations all there Regards, Ryno.

You have misunderstood ford There is the 1675 & the 2300 kg tow packs because the manual is alot rarer than the auto they wont make a package to suit both only the more prominently needed one. there was (might not be there now) a towing chart on the ford website that I found that listed all this I'll see if I can find it it is stamped on the tounge of the bar all the load variations Assuming you get the one from ford further note if you fit and tow a load not recomended by the manufacture its not just you warranty you might void, have an accident and if your GVM for trailer and load is more than the rating on the bar you'll be in deep 5h!7 !

I asked this question myself Assuming that it is geometricly correct then really it should near balance itself when laden and really more than 150kg down on the ball (in a normal 50mm ball) towing setup is at the upper end of the scale I don't think this trailer was at all correct but even the ones you hire are quite heavy (but they have to withstand the idiot factor!) and to put it in a different perspective if it was unladen it should be light forward for the extra weight of the car put on top (assuming its front engined) that way you can trim it by having the car forward or back (again asuming trailer is long enough to do this) I have always towed it with my 4x4's and could balance the 5 on the trailer to the point that you would hardly know its there! I was just really suprised even with a 7x5 box tralier laden it sits down and squats I probably should have done more research when trying to find a sutible car for what I wanted to do! as towing really wasn't a strong point as I found out!

Max towing capacity for a 5 or 6spd manual is 1200kg's regardless turbo or N/A Max towing capacity for an auto turbo is 1675kg's Max towing capacity for an auto N/A is 1675kg's and with the HD kit load levelers and auto transcooler fitted 2300kg's Max towing capacity for v8's auto's is (with the HD kit) 2300kg's But don't quote me on that All the above was resarched when I did my tow bar The guy at ford didn't even know about the 1200kg's max on the manual cog swaper! I wanted to pull my car on a trailer and was dumb founded to find that I could only tow 1200kg's (Manual 5 speeder N/A) doing it with a turbo falcon will depend on your weight of a trailer+car Most car trailers are around 550-650kg's so it would have to be a light car and yes it would void your warranty if it was drive train related and you had a tow bar capable of towing 2300kg's they'd not give you the benifit of the doubt just to add I sat my next door neigbours empty car trailer on the back of my ute and it went along way down! One thinks you would need to upgrade the springs to take the extra weight

Looks like a late 80's early 90's Mitsubishi turbo badge mainly from the pajero(front grille) being in NZ where all the good cars are plentyful it wouldn't be to hard to find two badges the same If its a sticker I would imagine that it is a copy of the same year models as they had turbo written on the rear1/4 panels Text is from that era anyway. If you really want some good turbo badges get yourself down to porsche this is on my other car! much cheaper than what you would imagine they cost be carful though they wont come of without a fight!

I have a similar problem only noticeable when you put your foot on the brake at 100km/h I just put it down to bad rotors if you only hold the steering wheel lightly it just rocks side to side if you grip it hard the whole car will shake but only when slowing down with foot on the brake

Depends what the next person is willing to pay I needed one in a short time frame for work stuff there are a couple of different generations ie wether you have round tube carry racks on top/ or none at all to the latest with the powdercoated black triangular shaped carry racks (also rear window badging changed) from all the way across the top of back window 1st gen to 2nd gen on the inside if its got internal carpet and tinted windows you'd get a decent amount for it! as for me selling mine and shipping another nup not going trough that again! although it was fine to do its a lot of risk! esp. the amount of glass in the canopy! Regards, Ryan.

here was my post when I did mine in december with instructions http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...st&p=599857 Tow bar was the ford Std one 1200kg Manual/1675kg auto/turbo worth noting the turbo can pull 1675kgs if its an auto but your stuck to 1200 for a manual Regards, Ryno

I have the Std duty ford one there are some pics of it on here its a non removable type I just cut a neat hole in the rear panel and it slotted in fine If there is one that goes under the whole lot I'd like to see it? If mine went under the rear beaver panel it would be touching the road!

I bought a Carryboy from Hanra earlier this year and fitted it, it still had all the sealant from when it was on his car and fitted snuggly on my car without having to seal it at all So no definatly not dreaming it really depends what type of sealer it is if its silicone it will just come of with the canopy (if its been installed for a couple of years) if its sika-flex then it will be alot harder but you could easily run piano wire all the way along the join to cut it wouldn't be that hard at all the only problem you might encounter is wether the hard top hinge parts conflict with how the canopy sits. Regards, Ryan

I ended up rewelding them pain in the ass though I will have to cut them up in the near future and fix it properly though the crack went right round the collector so down the centre I had to weld up either side til I could join it next time I'll have to cut the collector out and weld it from the inside I did't brace it because I think it will crack again in time I'll build a new exhaust for it in the future with a better flex join might make some nice S/S headers at the same time! Would have thought they lasted longer than what they did though probably just 12 months old!

Would that be an OEM Part or better off looking for aftermarket options? unloaded the ride height is ok maybe 10mm to low but once loaded goes down another 20mm or so Not to worried about the ride as the carry boy is substantial weight in itself to keep the back compliant will look into adding another leaf. Regards, Ryan.

Never having owned a vehicle with Leaf springs I am sorta unsure of how you lower them. I am assuming there is just a block between the springs and the diff? and if this block is alloy or steel I can adjust the height to suit with the CNC? with the canopy on the back the rear wheels ar just tucking in the rear arches and once there is a couple of things in the back I cant get up driveways being used more as a weekend warrior for renovations so practicallity is more important at the moment any options greatly appreciated too! Can you upgrade the springs at all? Regards, Ryan.

Final result was a happy one Everything is now fixed as it should have been before I bought the car! with no financial burdon on us so the dealer did actually suprise me "thumbs up on this occasion" Regards, Ryan.
