747 is from the VL era, it's been around forever, hearing them wind up on the transbrake getting ready for take off like a 747 winds up, people have just adapted it to the fords now...

Yeah exactly, that's why it had to be detuned to get it down the track, I will probly get it to around 450-500rwkw in the Torana that should be enough for a high 8 in a car this light, but obviously there is plenty of room to push it further should I ever want to...

This is an old video from 5-6yrs ago when I 1st got it going, has made a couple hundred more KW since then but it just break's everything, I had to detune it to 460-480rwkw to get it down the track without damaging an auto or a tailshaft or what not and it still ran 9.4 @ 150mph... Turbo's start to make ok boost around 5-6000 and it just shoot's off from there, lag's not an issue when your racing, just dab the gas button once or twice to get the boost up and your gone, from a roll you would just select low and keep RPM around 5000 and boost is almost instant, from memory that dyno run was backing off and was just under 30psi and 8000rpm, I still haven't reached the limit's of this engine, can run 60psi and cam's are good for up to 12000rpm...

It look's stock now but that wont last long, well the appearance will look identical but with larger tyres, fresh paint & stripes and some wheel's, wll look something like this once im done...

LOL, yeah nah I had'nt been started it since 2001 it's been in storage in the bush on a farm, went there poured some petrol down the carby a few time's and she fired right up, decided I'd better bring it home and do something with it rather than let it sit, otherwise I'll never do it.... This is the old girl on her long journey back and damn didn't it drum up some attention... I lost count how many time's people came up for a chat when I stopped in town's to refuel and eat etc....Some took pic's standing next to it etc, alot of mainly older guy's, saying mate I haven't seen anything this original and untouched for 20yrs or so, even got a few offer's etc...LOL!! Im going to pretty much refreshen it up with fresh paint and stuff, but its going to look identical pretty much just with some wheel's and stuff... Turbo's are Modified GT3540's, I would love to keep them but I dont think room will allow, so a big single it will be, in my VL I ran 9.4 @ 150mph on 22psi taking off like a slug, I think 60ft's were between 1.99 & 2.1, I can do that on pump 98 all day long, in fact I could cruise off the line and run between 145-150mph like nothing...

Hey mate the LX is bog stock standard, well I tell a small lie, the mighty 202 has extractor's and an exhaust LOL!! Engine is already twin cam, twin turbo, but if I proceed ahead I will be converting it back to a massive single, something like a GT42 or 45 for the street, and for ease of finding boost leak's....

Your lucky it wasn't worse mate, I would get the oil pump checked, it most likely would be wise to buy another... I'm contemplating ripping the engine outa my VL and sticking it into 1 of my other car's I own, a Genuine 1975 LX SS Hatchback, I've already spoken to the same engineer that's doing my Capri, I can run Motec, I dont have to run cat converter because of the age of the car, nothing like old school with a tuff engine...

I've seen plenty of cop's using them up in the northern suburb's, have been using them since BF's, undercover, marked, highway patrol, ute's aswell, even turbo territory's....

Maybe the Dynowog Nick could hold the money Heathcote was fairly green back then, it just had a concrete half track laid down not long before then it's actually getting but I agree the timeboard's are a let down...

Already sold it to another member mate, im sure he'll give his opinion of it when it's all in and running, I went 2spd, obviously light little car there is no need for a 4spd auto...

Note it sez when used with the correct reprogrammed transmission it will cope with 600 plus rwkw... Mean's the input shaft will cope with 600 + rwkw, but I dont think the rest of the stock transmission will, obviously to get something capable of withstanding 600 + rwkw will require the rest of the auto to be built to handle it, fitting it in a stock tran's will just make it not brake input's anymore, but then it will most likely move the stress to somewhere else in the transmission and cause breakages...

That was my Auto, mine was the full house transbraked model, can get the non transbraked model cheaper, I chose transbrake because you can load up as much boost as you want on the startline and release the button and go, where as with footbrake you can only stall so much before car pushes forward under power.... Exact same auto went 8.90's in the black R32 GTR which is proof enough of how well it work's, cruising lightly the shift wasn't stupidly firm or jolty it was quite nice, but under full load it shifted nice and tuff, even into 4th gear under full load, freeway speed's at 110kmh were 2250 rpm, with a C4 / C10 / T400 or glide 110kmh with would about 3000-3200rpm.... Internal's are bigger than a T400 aswell...

From quick memory of what I saw... Audi RS6 was running consistent 11.7's @ 118-120mph... Ferrari 11.4's I think @ 125mph consistent... Porsche Turbo went 11.1 then 10.9 @ 131... Tonyv as mentioned above, 11's @ 127.... Wepnxr's 12's... Black Turbo Territory 12.9's consistent... FPVPSI's Silver BA XR6T I think it may have been, 11.4 @ 134mph... G6EPSI 11.9 @ 119 I think it was... That's about all I can remember...

Yeah mic might have a point there mate, they are pretty stout if tuned correctly, here is a R33 GTR Rajab done a fair few year's back now, was a completely stock standard motor, just new low mount 2860-5's on all stock manifold's and dump's etc, had a motec M4, 1x 044 fuel pump no surge tank, bigger injector's, bigger intercooler and a better clutch, made approximately 350rwkw on Rajab's dyno back then on pump 98....

Yeah well if it's making the loud crunching or knocking sound, that would infact be the piston's hitting the valves, more than likely the crank will be a throw away or very expensive to fix dependent on exact amount of damage, piston's will likely be throw away aswell, it will also have bent the valves, how many ? who know's until you open her up... Hopefully that will be about it, probly have to get yourself another oil pump aswell, as metal has probly gone right through it and although you might be able to service it, it's not worth the risk of it having some spec's of metal in there with a fresh motor... Engine removal & refit is costly on any GTR, cos pretty much you have to drop the whole K frame with strut's etc out to do it properly, then the car is non mobile, so pretty much it's guna be sitting on stand's or a workshop's hoist until engine is repaired or changed over and is running again, alot of workshop's dont want touch them unless they are making good $$$ as it's a *beep* of a job pretty much and part's and machine work is costly... Look's nice mate, hopefully you can fix her up, as alot choose to sell them blown up for the reason of costing to much to repair...

Ok, dependent on if you were thrashing it at the time it spun etc will determine the amount of damage, R32's usually break the collar off the crank which drives the oil pump, on 32's they are very very weak and is the main reason why you see so many people selling them blown up as the cost is so high to repair them, when the collar break's it starves the whole engine of oil, if this was under full or even moderate noise even for as little as 2-5 second's it will have a significant amount of internal damage...They rectified the weak crank collar on the R33's... does the engine still start ??? If Yes does it have a very loud knocking sound ??? Another thing is the piston to valve clearance on them is rediculously narrow, so much so that when they spin the bearing on the crank the piston's infact smash against the valves so you end up with the head needing repair aswell as the bottom end, R33 crank's are hard to find unless you buy new from nissan which is $$$$, there's not really much use putting it back together with another R32 crank as sooner or later it will do the exact same thing basically.... Most likely there will be some damage to piston's etc aswell... What color and year model's your 32 ?? Pic's...

It was GM3747 it's a white thing, just basic setup and has about 280-300rwkw... VL3747 is a Yellow BT1 and run's high 9's... VL0747 is White and run's high 9's aswell and is CGMFLY's brother older brother I believe...

What's even better is they say they pull over to compose themselves, but notice the well lit area a few kilometer's up the road they pull up at seem's to be EXACT spot where everybody park's and chill's out talking... I mean seriously out of the whole prinny highway they choose that exact spot, coincedence ?, I think not, they were after a story and wanted a hot spot where they knew they would definately find people... Then there is the " It's getting close to midnight and the mob is getting unruly " But they have there door open, man they musta been scared outa there wit's... I wouldn't be surprised at all if the blonde chick at 2.39 mins mark in the white high heel's and business type skirt is the driver jumping out to have a ciggy and chat, saying sh*t like no worries guy's where on your side, where trying to help ya's and get your side of the story out there, cos that's the type of scum bag's they are... Apparently EPA and cop's were harrasing everybody at the know show tonight....
